what was the worst food you had in Disney?

Breakfast or dinner? We loved the dinner we had there in December, without exception! Different strokes...

Dinner.

While I normally don't rate a place based on one visit, this was just the perfect storm of bad.

The service was poor - my server disappeared after taking my drink order and I never saw her again.
Most of the food on the buffet was just of poor quality, either overcooked, just poor to begin with, or missing.
The desserts were clearly pre-frozen. Some had ice crystals in them, others had defrosted and were weeping liquid across the platter.I honestly don't think a oreo bonbon is so all fired great on a good day. One with a soggy oreo and a bon bon with ice in it is no where near good.

Maybe I just caught them on a really really really off night, but I have never been so utterly diappointed with every aspect of a restaruant before.

So sorry you had a bad experience. The night we were there, everything was fresh and delicious, and we had a great server. The oreo bonbons, however, had been permanently removed from the dessert buffet by then so we didn't get to experience them.

with all the good places to grab food at Disney it's surprisingly tough for me to one up with something I truly hated but with so much out thereto try I'm sure some people have some interesting, I not highly questionable meals.

surprisingly for me of all the possibilities it was room service pizza at all star sports around 8 or 9 years ago. maybe it's because I'm from Jersey where pizza is perfected ( there's actually a few businesses who make a killing getting pizza around the area and shipping it across the country to places like Seattle. I have a relative who has to spend a few hundred a year to eat "real" pizza, sadly every visit is welcomed with having to get pizza for almost every single meal while he is around) but I'm pretty sure for most civilized people this would be bad. the crust was so undercooked you would have sworn they forgot to cook it and it was still just dough. the sauce had the same consistency as one of those tomato soups to go from Campbell's. the cheese I actually can't knock too hard, given everything else the cheese gets a pass. still it all added up to a mess. I enjoyed eating shrimp more, which considering I am allergic to shrimp is saying something.

so what's the word thing any of you have had? something that just fell way short of expectations or a bold mistake to tr something new and different?

Our meal at Tutto Italia was YUCK! And the Italian place that was there before - double yuck!!

Hollywood and Vine by far the worst food, service and dirties dining area that I have eaten at WDW.

I concur. I would also like to add (IMO) un-attentive cast members who will ignore small family groups and focus on larger groups as they hunt out tips (if you're in the large group category, you should be fine in this respect).

I'd agree, except the night we ate there, I think there were maybe 12 parties in the entire restaurant. With I think 4 servers working, so it was a bit hard for them to ignore us.

Turkey legs. It just was not very good. The smell is 1000 x better than the taste and the mess that is made eating them. Plus I'm sure I looked like an animal eating it while strolling through MK.

We hated Crystal Palace but maybe that was because it was going on noon and they wanted us to eat leftover breakfast items. We just never will go back there again, like my momma always told me, "first time shame on you, second time, shame on me":D, just can't say enough about how horrible Crystal Palace was!

So has the food quality gone down in years?? I been to many locations and it was not bad, not the greatest but not bad.

I'm wondering if i should not get the DDP....

In the theme parks, definitely. A large segment of the DDP crowd would not be sitting in TS restaurants if it weren't 'free', and they want food to taste like what they eat at Golden Corral, or it's 'too wierd'.

My nomination for worst meal is the current incarnation of 'Duck Breast & Confit' at Chef's de France. And it would be worst even if it wasn't compared to how it used to be. Years ago it was great. Now the breast is microwaved beyond done (duck breast [other than on a whole or half roasted duck] is supposed to be red or pink in the middle or it's burnt). And they replaced fresh perfectly prepared and seasoned vegetables with flavorless mush. I didn't know that sweet potatoes could have no flavor. It is now Hospital Food.

For DH it was beef and blue at POP, and for me was ABC commissary kids cheeseburger. yuch...:( But after 12+ trips that's not bad...

How could he not like the Beef & Bleu??? That's blasphemous in my house. lol. That's my favorite sandwich there. Although, I have had a bad one there, when I got it right before they were closing and there was only one left. I learned to only order if there is still more then half of them there.

2 times terrible: Big River Grille. I will never go there again for the rest of my life. Too many better options. I kept this short. People have seen my rant before. LOL.

Casey's Corner in the Magic Kingdom.

OMG, unless you want to experience something truly "magical," avoid this quick serve at all costs. They gave both my wife and I horrid food poisoning there last night. Still recovering today. :(

I have been to Disney multiple times, ate at numerous places and NEVER experienced anything like this before.
