Take all of these comments about Sci-Fi with a grain of salt. We have been twice and enjoyed out meal both times. I always get the Shrimp (or chicken)Pasta (and I'm picky about my pasta) and I love it. My hubby enjoys the burgers as well, and the shakes and deserts are really good too. Don't be afraid to at least try it and if your family doesn't like something then you know for next time. The atmosphere is really cool too. Worth going at least once. :)

It seems like it's a good place. My sister kept telling and telling me about it, so I decided "Well, we should go here once, it seems cool." and so I booked it! :p

Lobster bisque at france qs. It had that old overly fishy taste. And im pretty sure it is what gave me food poisoning my last trip. I think im done with sea food at wdw.

Captains Grill.....crab cake and chicken was just gross! Now as far as the crab cake I have to let that slide because I am from Baltimore and nothing can match our crabs here! However my then 9 year old DS ordered the hamburger and he took one bite and wouldn't eat another one. This is a boy that will eat everything and anything so that is telling you something!

the fish and chips in the UK is the best! I think what you are talking about is the batter it is different

Real fish and chips are either haddock or cod & there is definatly no jelly like texture in fish or batter , sadly you don't often get cod or haddock these days. Though personally I prefer a fritter ( fish with a thin slice of potato in batter ) or sage and onion potato pattie in batter but thats a local thing ,lol

Honestly, I don't recall any meal at WDW where I thought, "you know, jeez, that sucked." Perhaps I've wished a portion was larger for the money, or smaller when I'm full... But I have to say, for the most part - the food is quite satisfactory if nothing else, on average. I guess I temper my expectations... Going to a theme park I'm not hoping for filet mignon.

Wow... sounds like Pecos Bill has really gone down hill. This makes me sad as it's one of my faves. :(

Worst food I have had was the old restaurant in Italy in WS. I forgot the name of the dump.. but it was bad.
And this was years ago also.. but, Chef Mickey's bfast. I think they might of just had an off day though. EVERYTHING was cold.. I couldnt get a cup of coffee... our server was indifferent and annoyed by everything.

Okay this worries me because I just booked a reservation for Sci Fi. Well, maybe it won't happen to me because I don't eat meat, but still.. Eh, I'll get a veggie burger :p

If I remember they have a tofu dish that isn't that bad. Save the veggie burgers for the CS locations and get a different veggie friendly meal while you can.

My least favorite meal was at Cosmic Rays - I got a veggie sandwich with a cucumber salad, I think the cucumber salad was the only thing I ate. I was trying to make the healthier choice, but that ended up biting me in the butt!

Some of my least favorite food was sadly Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace which I haven't visited for years! Two years ago at Chef Mickey's the price was about $40 and there were only a few items I even liked and I am not very picky. The deserts were not bad but not worth the money. I only consider going back because it does have the best characters. I hope it gets better because I do see a lot of people on various sites saying its bad.

For me, it was O'Hana.
Overcooked, flavorless meat on parade and veins still in the shrimp was not what I was expecting the 1st time I went. So, after all the amazing reviews I went back two trips later assuming I'd hit a bad night only to find that not only was the quality of food the same, but it ended up being my worst meal, from food to service, of any Disney dining experience in the 6 weeks I've spent on property.
That being said, the potstickers & dessert are decent.

Hollywood & Vile. Hands down the worst dining experience that we have ever had at WDW. The food was horrible and the service just as bad.
