What time do you go to sleep?

Besides the EMH at MK till 2am, what is the average time you get back to your resort and sleep. I find that while at Disney I'm only sleeping 4-5 hours a night? Normally that would be fine, but after spending all day walking in the Florida sun, I'm trying to find ways to get everything done earlier.

I would have to get at least 7-8 hours sleep. I think it will not hit me right away but come towards end of our vacation it will hit me really hard and i would be dragging through the parks to get it done.

Before my son it wasn't unusual for us to stay out as late as the EMH would allow. That being said, we would always say we would stay out later and then come home usually around 12ish...now with a 2 and a 1/2 year old it is uncommon for us to be in the room by 830-9 at the latest. But then again, we are up a whole lot earlier than we used to be as well. Sigh.

I agree with kids we are in bed much earlier but up much earlier. We did get in the fireworks at epcot last trip with the two little ones. We usually get one or two late nights. That being 10:30-11!

I am excited this trip we are having one pool day so we will be able to catch up on sleep!! Hopefully- with kids you never know!

I don't sleep much at night (5-6 hours), but find that the mid-afternoon nap does wonders. The only time I ever take an afternoon nap is at Disney.

I am the exact same way. Never get to sleep during the day when I am not on vacation, so I actually look forward to the occasional mid-day nap while I’m in the World.

It all depends on what parks are open early and what ones close late or should I say early in the morning. I've left the MK going on 3 a.m. There are parks that are worth getting there early for and parks where I like to stay late. Therefore, there is no set time to do anything on my trips except ADR's.

we burn the candle at both ends. we hit early emh and go to the end of night emh. it's easier to do in the winter months when the parks close earlier but when we go in the summer months and the park is open sometimes as late as 3am sometimes we'll take a 2 hr nap before an early dinner then go go go but not always. we've done a lot of trips going until 2 or 3 am then back up at 6 or 7 am to go again. we've even been known to go to the parks until end of emh at 2 or 3 am then hit the hot tub or pool after getting back to our resort to wind down. we keep talking about taking at least one day to sleep in but just can't seem to do it and i've been going to wdw since my first trip in 1972 at the age of 5 1/2 and i'm a grandmother now so i'm not sure when i'm supposed to outgrow my disney go go go phase lol. it's the worst when my sister and i travel together. we just can't waste what we call our "mickey minutes". i will say we really get our money's worth out of our trips tho.

For us its normally about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours after the last park closes. What I mean is if we go to EP and MK dosent close till Midnight we hop over there till they close when we leave EP. We normally try to be at the park at opening and stay till 1pm or so then back to hotel for a nap when the crouds are at their highest. Then we either eat at the Resort and back to the park or go to the park and eat there staying till close. That afternoon nap does wonders. My wife and son take one about every day but depending on what needs to get done with cleaning cameras and what not is weather I get one or not. Also some nights im up much later uploading pics and getting stuff ready for the next day. By about day 12 it starts catching up.

We stay out until our bodies physically can't take anymore:lol:. I dont sleep much because i'm so excited that i'm there and can't wait to do more! Thats what our extra day off is for when we get home, laundry and sleep:p

You got that right. Before Pleasure Island closed I would end my Disney day at the Adventurers Club and Mannequin's, and getting back to the room at around 2:30-2:45am.

I'd sleep about 3 hours at best, maybe 4, and was WELL RESTED to start my next Disney day. No worries, not a care in the world. It's amazing I am on vacation and get as little sleep as possible. It's amazing what Disney does to energize my body.

We visit during the slower seasons and we get back to the room typically by 10:00. We shoot for a solid 8 hours of sleep for most nights except for a late EMH night occasionally when we might get 6 - 7. Going during a season when EMH is over @ midnight is great. Now we typically spend 2 weeks at a clip and we are less driven to do the commando/all out days. Typically over the 2 weeks we will be at the park before opening at least once for each park, but again the mornings are relaxed and we are at the parks most mornings by 9:30. In the past when we would go for 1 week or less the full out assault seemed much more nessecary.

Seems being a DVC member changes how you 'enjoy' WDW.

We usually don't go to the parks until 5:00 p.m. We sometimes don't hit the parks at all 2-3 days of our trips and when we do, we stay at the Evening EMH parks. We get back to the resort maybe at 1:00 a.m., sleep in till 10:30 the next morning, roll out of bed, throw a hat on and brush our teeth. Go have our 10:45 Table Service breakfast and go back to the room and lounge around the resort until 3 or 4 in the afternoon.

When I compare our trips where we rushed rushed rushed versus the trips we have now where we relax and rest. There is no comparison. We love our vacations that much more now because our visits are very slow and smell the roses type of trips.

Much MUCH better than any theme park commando approach. We get 1 Bedroom Villas or larger each trip so you don't feel pressured to 'get out' of the 'hotel room' anytime. With all the space of a small apartment, nice balcony, etc....hanging out/taking your time in the room is very pleasant.

My DH and I do the same thing - we sleep very little. However, some trips are short and sweet so we cram pack them full so we get to do everything we want. With longer trips, we take an easier pace. Usually in bed by 11 pm and then up by 7 am. There are those days when we are up to 3 a.m. and up at 7 a.m. but that isn't the normal. We also take a break each day to come back to the resort for a nap/rest. I'm not a big napper but my DH is. He usually gets in an hour or two nap while I rest and watch tv and get ready for the evening.

We were usually in bed between 10 & 11 p.m. I was up at 6 a.m. as I am at home. We would always come back to the room after lunch to rest for a couple of hours before heading back out for dinner ADRs. We pretty much stuck to our normal daily routine because we didn't want to mess with DH's schedule (she was 5 at the time). We had 6 nights/7 on our trip, so we weren't in a hurry to see everything.
