What should happen to Winnie the Pooh?

What should happen to the ride??

  • Turn it into a SW:GE ride

  • Turn it into a new Critter Country ride

  • Demolish it and build a show building for a better Pooh ride

  • Demolish it and build something other than a ride

  • Demolish it and build a show building for a different themed ride

  • Leave it alone

  • Turn it into a CBJ revival

Yeah that and I don't really know anyone who likes country music. I'm sure there are people in California that do, but it's fewer than the people in Florida (no offense to any Floridans).
I thought country music was the number one form of music in the middle part of the country.

Pooh needs to go. I like the ride and would not mind an updated version in New New Fantasyland (in the Fantasyland theater space), but it definitively does not belong in Critter Country.

I'd prefer the Country Bears go in DCA in Grizzly Peak, but would not be opposed to them back here. Would have liked to see Disney go forward with the Catfish Bend movie or similar so there were more Southern Critters that could fit in the area.

I could definitely see the ride being a version of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster (as opposed to Big Grizzly Mountain). If Country Bears, perhaps a moonshine run ride?

True, but it’s not a redneck bear. The redneck/country bumpkin imagery just doesn’t match California at all.

But that land is Country themed. What does California have to do with it?

EDIT: oh you must have been talking bout DCA

There are plenty of country music fans in California (I'm one of them). I personally find the genre far more appealing than other forms of today's pop music. In many ways, for the past couple of decades, country's been filling the gap left by the absence of easy-listening rock groups that were such a huge part of the 70's and 80's--Groups like The Eagles, The Doobie Bros., Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, etc. Those kind of groups exist in country, now. That's the audience that has made country popular outside the stereotypical "core" audience people envision.

I wouldn’t say it’s “country.” And I wasn’t saying CBJ doesn’t belong in Disneyland, I was being general. Someone said CBJ doesn’t fit well with the California audience.

I think the biggest factor is that people don’t want to sit and watch an AA show anymore. The music is a secondary almost non factor. I was going to say that it being “country” is irrelevant to whether it appeals to Disneyland crowds but I guess being that it’s a music based show it’s a little more relevant than other themes/ music/ attractions that might not appeal to Californians at DL.

How to make sure a CBJ revival gets a full theater:

1. Only have 1 theater
2.Have some type of food or drink exclusively served within or near the preshow theater
3.Allow people to eat inside the CBJ theater

That’s possible, yes. But then again, the Tiki Room continues to fill. Maybe it’s because it’s been there for years? I think you’re right, I don’t believe people would be super interested in a new animatronic show, but I could be wrong.

Yeah I think the Tiki Room is just grandfathered in nostalgia. I hardly ever watch the show but appreciate its history and think it should be preserved. I think if anything similar was released today, even with higher tech we would be bored out of our minds.
