What should Disney add to DHS?

for me, I think everything "classic Disney" and Princess related (ie Frozen) belongs in MK. DHS for me should be more focused on the teen to Adult demographic. Of course it also needs Family/kids attractions too. I still think it needs to lose the "Studios" part of the name, especially without the backlot tour. I would love to see them add more Pixar and mope Star Wars. I also think they should relocate Laugh Floor to DHS as it fits there more than in Tomorrowland in MK. Maybe they could turn the existing Laugh Floor area into a Wall-E themed ride or something like that which would fit the tomorrowland theme better

You had me until the part about Pixar...isn't that pretty much targeting kids?

I'm starting to think maybe there should just be a Pixar Park, so I can completely avoid it.

yes, Pixar does target kids/families, but DHS does need some of that. They don't want a park that's only focused on teens/adults, but the majority of the park would not be Pixar. Pixar would only be about a third of the park

DHS needs at least 2 c or d thrill factor attractions, a show with high seating capacity, and at least 1 e-ticket. Not to mention another restaurant or 2.

DHS has two less FP + experiences less than AK, but there is so much to see just wandering about at the AK. I still like the idea of a studio, but they need to go back to their roots. With the closing of the Backlot Tour it really frees up a lot of people wandering around the park. It makes the wait times longer at other attractions because there is less crowd dispersion. I hope they are planning something with that space, because that was essentially the E-ticket ride when the park opened.

I love the Indiana Jones Adventure and the fact that a couple thousand people can be entertained at the same time, but it is getting a little dated and tired.

I would also like to see an interactive play place for kids, with the idea of the train tracks in Germany or boats that were by the Jungle Cruise for a while. The HISTK play place is way dated-the movie came out 25 years ago. IMHO that area is an eyesore!

I love Mama's and the HBD. I like 50s Prime Time, but some members of the party aren't too keen on it anymore. It is a small park, but the restaurants are usually full for meal times! Look at Be Our Guest-there aren't that many more people in the park on a average day, but the place is just about jam packed every day and night. They created demand for a restaurant. If you build it they will come. Maybe the counter service restaurants are getting lower sales per day, but the profit margins at higher at BOG.

Just my opinion-----Whatever they do-please start soon!

I agree that the HISTK area is dated. Maybe re-theming that area to a newer film would be better, or maybe a collection of films from Pixar. Either way I agree something needs to be done

I still have a problem with people saying the drop of the studio thing. The buildings still look like a studio lot. They can't just give every last façade a facelift. The more than likely scenario for a name change is Disney's Florida Studio. The Backlot Tour is gone and yes the backlot will never be a backlot again. Thus there are plans for something to be built at the location of the Backlot and yes Marvel is off limits. Star Warsland wont be a possibility there unless the famous streets of America Façade is demolished which wont happen anytime but has been given thought. A Possible connection with Pixar Place and furthering the Walt Disney Animation Studio theme is being considered in what was the Studio Backlot Tour Attraction.

I don't have a problem keeping the Studio name as long as they keep Studios as the main theme Most of the attractions that are remaining are themed towards/based on movies with the exception of RNRC. (which is a great ride, but I'm not sure Aerosmith fits in with the rest of the park's theme.)

I never understood what was the purpose of the RNRC as set to the rest of the park but it's fun! However its up to Tom Staggs and Company. Not lower level officers. Some of the ideas sound really stupid but I can reassure everyone that Islands and Adventure will not be placed upon due to a compete agreement that last for 100 years.

I agree that it's a fun ride for sure. I just wish they had themed the ride differently, either on a movie itself or just an original theme, maybe like a VIP experience ride where the "guests" receive VIP tickets to a movie premiere and have to be whisked across downtown LA in a super stretch limo to arrive on time. However I do love the current theme, just doesn't fit with the rest of the park

Not to mention that the rides pre show is a little dated. It be nice if they re-theme the ride in the future. But DHS really could use more rollercoasters and big rides not kiddy rides. I mean I like Toystory but we need things to keep DHS from just being another DAK, a half day park.

Tear out and redevelop everything behind the new Toy Story Mania track building up to Star Tours. Tear out and redevlop the area around Star Tours into Star Wars Land. This would essentially get rid of the entire Streets of America & Echo Lake areas. Replace Beauty & The Beast with a new show, replace Little Mermaid with a new show.

Thats my dream for DHS.

yes, I agree at least one more roller coaster needs to be added. I'm pretty sure that if a Star Wars Land is in the plans, that an e-ticket Roller coaster/thrill ride that is Star Wars related would be in the plans, Maybe an X-Wing vs Tie Fighter (Jedi vs the Dark Side) dueling coster kind of thing where you can choose which "side" you want to be on and the ride is different experience from each side

That is quite a dream and we would be a huge Star Wars Land area. If they were to fo that route, then the Echo Lake area would be a perfect spot to theme as the Dagobah swamps and have a Yoda themed ride/M&G, or even Restaurant. With Luke's X-Wing partially submerged in the "swamp"

You say a third as if that's nothing. That is a major chunk. Once again, Hollywood has been around for a very long time. Why does Pixar have to be so heavily featured? Aren't one or two attractions enough?

I completely agree. Do people actually ride this coaster because it features Aerosmith? No, it's because it's a rollercoaster. It could've been any band in there with the same exact result. Nothing about the coaster is Aerosmith. It was pointless to begin with. I've always argued for a better theme.

Not to be debbie downer (too late) but the rollercoaster itself pretty much peaks shortly after the launch. I find Tower of Terror infinitely more thrilling.

Ok, if one or 2 attractions are enough, what would you like to see fill the rest of the park?

Well yeah, Hollywood themed would be preferable. Any specific ideas?

Not really.

But I'll give an example of what works, IMO: Twilight Zone is an enduring classic that everyone is familiar with, not to mention the expression of being in the twilight zone.

The old Jaws ride at Universal Studios was a good choice because Jaws is an enduring classic. Needless to say I think they should've kept it.

Enduring classics....that's what I'm after.
