What should Disney add to DHS?

Over 1/3 of Magic Kingdom is based on Disney movies, so I don't see a problem with 1/3 of DHS being based on Pixar movies.

There are too many movie-oriented rides in my opinion these days in the MK. How I long for the days of Dreamflight over Buzz Lightyear and Stitch and Monsters whatever.

However, they don't have a Toy Story land in MK. They don't have a Pirates of the Caribbean land. They don't have a Peter Pan land.

A Toy Story land is different then a Pixar land. It's very possible a DHS expansion will contain a mix of Pixar movies, not just one.

I don't think we will see another non-IP based ride for the foreseeable future, Disney is just to heavily into brand synergy at the moment. Personally this doesn't both me to much, as long as the attractions are well done what they are based on is not to important to me.

Not to mention that the rides pre show is a little dated. It be nice if they re-theme the ride in the future. But DHS really could use more rollercoasters and big rides not kiddy rides. I mean I like Toystory but we need things to keep DHS from just being another DAK, a half day park.
DHS doesn't a need a lot more thrill rides for those who are teenagers and adults that don't have a back, heart or other medical issue. I have no problems with 1 to 3 more thrill more thrill rides at tops, but that is it. It already Star Tours, Tower of Terror and Rock'n Roller Coaster.

One of the reason Toy Story Midway Mania's line is so line besides low capacity is DHS doesn't have rides for those who can't do thrill rides including adults. There needs to be 3 or 4 family friendly rides such as dark rides.

I know it's a park themed to the movies, so we have BATB, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, etc... But I think DHS needs some original classics the same way MK had HM and POTC.

Imagine this idea for a ride: a movie set closed due to "odd" and "seemingly paranormal" occurences. The queue would simulate a person sneaking into this set. Notice boards and warning signs would give some backdrop to how things were being misplaced and messed with, and those misplaced objects would be hidden around. Sounds, light effects, and minature AA's would give glimpses of mischevious, little creatures. The idea for the ride would be these little creatures wanting to make a movie themselves. All they would need is willing, or not so willing, cast members ;).

The ride would consist of the creatures moving the abandoned props and sets to recreate scenes with you in the middle of it. It would be cute, give DHS some original creature mascots for merchandise and whatnot, and could be immensely entertaining. I just want rides/ideas original to DHS, not just milking brands slightly themed to Hollywood.

A working animation studio and production facilities.

Unless something happens that causes Florida to offer incentives to film producers like other states and provinces do, not gonna happen.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
Well, there's the rub. Either throw out the entire Hollywood theme, or go with films that at least already have some kind of long lasting legacy.

Why, of course. Why wouldn't they do that? Who in the world would want to ride "Home on the Range: Shoot 'Dem Chickenz!" xD

I agree. Part of the original appeal of Disney-MGM Studios was that it was supposed to be a real, working film studio. Even though that was never fully realized, the fact that it did actually have working studio and production facilities was part of the appeal for me, and I'm sure for other park goers. I remember going to MGM as a teenager and being excited that I got to see the actual studio where the 80's/90's version of Mickey Mouse Club was filmed.

I understand Florida may not have the same incentives that other states have for film studios, but this is not just about a good location to put a film studio. It is about "synergy" within Disney -- giving people more of a reason to visit the parks plus having a working studio. I think many Disney fans would love the chance to see a working animation studio, for example, and that extra draw to the park should make it worth Disney's while. Or so it seems to me.

A working animation studio would be great, and it would definitely persuade me to spend more time at that park, I just don't see Disney bringing the working Studios aspect back to that park

ANYTHING at this point seriously....because right now there is very little to do there. Star Wars land, Pixar land, cars land, toy story land, old Hollywood, whatever just announce SOMETHING! It's ridiculous at this point! There are 5 rides & a handful of very old shows, and imho the worst dining options.....just fix it PLEASE !
