What scenes in GMR should be kept?

To be honest I don't understand the lack of love for Alien. It's probably one of the best Sci-Fi movies of all time and is only rivaled by Star Wars. You can't take out any scenes but replacing maybe some of the things within like different westerns or gangster movies.

Off the top of my head I can only really think of adding The Good The Bad and The Ugly..Have the scene of all 3 drawing on each other. And as far as gangsters go maybe add The Godfather if possible.

Its tatty old technology with figures that look as like the artists they are meant to portray as store manikins. The concept is great, the execution very of its time, time to move it up a gear. Guests expectations and thel ike are far higher now.

Hmm, I like the Casablanca, Wizard of Oz, Alien, Gangster, and Mary Poppins scenes. I think they should add a Star Wars scene and they could use projectors and "magic" to make it seem like you're fighting in the death star, It could work because the ride doesn't have a track and it could go slowly through that scene, and you'll get the feel of actually flying which is cool xD

Maybe even a Haunted Mansion scene, a 50 First Dates scene maybe, idk i like that movie=]

He is one of the most timeless characters of all, he has survived 40+ years, 22 movies have been made, I think he is deserving of a scene in GMR

The Public Enemy - I'd say The Godfather would be a good choice as a newer gangster film.

Western scene - Fine the way it is

Alien - Replace with Tron. Star Wars has it's own ride already...

Raiders of the Lost Ark - I'd actually replace Raiders with a different adventure film since Indy is already represented. National Treasure could be a good replacement.

Zombie Room - Replace with a more modern horror film. Maybe actually including The Sixth Sense...

Tarzan the Ape Man - I'd actually go with something completely different. I'd like to see It's a Wonderful Life represented...

Casablanca - Stays

Fantasia - It should be represented, but I'd say it needs a better representation.

The Wizard of Oz - I'd actually replace this scene with something a bit more exciting. Sure, Oz is a classic film, but perhaps by replacing it with a more modern film, it could be a more interesting scene. Pirates does seem like an interesting fit here. Imagine Davey Jones sailing towards your vehicle on the Flying Dutchman. If done right, that could be amazing.

Movie montage - I'd like to see something different here instead of just a montage of random movies. Personally, I'd like to see the guests be recorded during the ride and their reactions inter cut in between scenes from movies. That would at least make things interesting...

though i don't like bond at all i see your point, but someone else mentioned that movies that aren't art shouldn't be allowed in the ride, saying that national treasure is trash due to it's lack of art, and i believe they'd say the same thing for bond. both bond and national treasure are over the top movies that people watch for fun and to just chill, so they don't have to be artful masterpieces. i'm just not a bond fan, so i can't support having that added (if it was i wouldn't complain either, i just can't stand the new bond).

Every other scene is a terrific tribute to the glory days of movies. When 75% of them that came out every year were great, not the 5%(and that's being generous) nowadays.

This is completely untrue. The vast majority of movies have always been forgettable / mindless entertainment. For every memorable movie from the so-called "glory days", there are like 50 forgettable or horrible ones.

I don't know if that's true. 2008 gave us The Dark Knight, Slumdog Millionaire, Gran Torino, Wall-E, Iron Man, and The Wrestler.

I'll give you Dark Knight, WALL-E, and Wrestler, but I found Slumdog and Gran Torino to be incredibly overrated, and Iron Man was good, but I wouldn't consider it to be a classic by any stretch of the imagination.

I've wondered why the studios doesn't have any 007 attractions, since MGM owns UA. For a while there was a Bond ride at Kings Dominion, but I can't find much information about it.

If they were to put a James Bond scene in the Great Movie Ride, what would they choose? Obviously it should be something from the first couple Sean Connery films, but's hard to find a memorable scene that doesn't have bond killing men or doing... other things with women.
There is one iconic scene I think would be super easy enough to stage with AAs

...but it's inappropriate for its own reasons.

Even as an exaggeration, I still disagree. The ratio of quality films to forgettable ones is probably about the same as it always has been... maybe even better, depending on what you consider to be the "golden age." Just because there are a lot of mindless movies that receive a lot of hype, doesn't mean there aren't plenty of good new films being released.

We are not seen a bigger picture. As someone said is "THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE", the movies that are represented are masterpieces or classics.

Now that said, why not have some fun into it and bring some of the greatest movies (for real) of the past 30 years,

Imagine this:
(opening scene) a pond, a familiar tune, (Rainbow Connection) and we see Kermit singing it.

Go into Singing in the rain, Mary and so on...

We may need to start looking outside the box and some movies that are more classic this day than others altogether.

The ride needs lots of attention and some AA need to be replace. I remember when Disney was proud of saying that the witch form Oz was one of the most advance AA ever built (20 years ago). Now i will say that is the Jack Sparrow at PotC.

Plus the Final montage needs to be more like an award montage that what they are showing that looks so bad and so 80's!
