I think the timeline choices you listed were too close together. I would say sometime in 2022 or at latest 2023. It’s going to be a long time before we get back to “normal” at theme park. Yes, a lot of life will be back to normal by then I believe, but theme parks will have to be extremely careful going forward for the foreseeable future.

Not gonna get political with you. The point is the world has changed forever. Welcome to your New LIFE. Masks are not going away, social distancing is not going away, things not being fully open is not going away. Accept it. There is no going back.

Accept what? Did you not read a single thing I posted? The deaths this is causing and will continue to cause is dwarfing the "feel good" vibes the ones who accept this shutdown have left.

You honestly think for the rest of our lives masks will be normal and "social distancing" will be normal? Good grief man, live your life how you want, but there is a growing amount of people fed up with this that are venturing outdoors and not dying. Eventually there will be enough of us that will override the ones still drinking the kool-aid.

Lastly, there is no business wanting to be the "one" who says the heck with this, just go back to normal. No one wants to be the enemy right now. But theme parks, and ball diamonds and professional sports is a big business. The NFL alone is, what, a $10 billion industry? Eventually behind the scenes you will see owners and CEOs hurry up the process because you just can't operate at 30% for very long.

Honestly, get out more, the most natural resource we could ever have - the sun - will help.

I think they'll be among the first who will be itching to get back to normal. They have to react to the public's mood. When this stuff isn't in the news anymore then they'll quietly but gradually get things back to normal. A theme park, people forget, is a big money making business. They want to make money, not be doormats for the rest of their life spacing people out at Splash Mountain and having 30% capacity when they could have 100%. And quite frankly we should be helping speed up that process.

Well at least have a counter argument. I just posted a ton of facts for you and your only response is to say I am in denial? Honestly, the red pill, it works, and it is never too late to admit this was just a colossal mistake. When nurses are busy doing TikTok videos I think it becomes obvious that the hospitals weren't anywhere near as packed as they thought they'd be.

At least come up with a decent argument.

My facts are the world around you. Masks everywhere, even at theme parks, social distancing, etc. My facts are right in front of your face.

If I get a response, I at least make sure I have the courtesy to respond back. The world is a crazy place, so it is hard to stay quiet about it. Especially when we are 4 months removed from never even imagining such a world could exist. I like to remind people about that. ;)

Yeah, I guess so. I’ve just been thinking this way of Disney because of how safe it kind of looks like they’re playing it. Them being the last to reopen instead of one of the first to get the money was a bit surprising to many.

But the last thing Disney wants is to draw attention to themselves if somehow the virus blows up because of someone infected entering their parks. They DON’T want to be the reason this virus somehow spreads quicker. This is why I thought it’d be a bit longer from them to return to normalcy, if that makes sense.

Well, those aren't facts. That's fear, I'll give you that, but facts? All I see are people in masks. That proves nothing. Well, it proves that our society has made the people who invested in these masks awfully rich (keep that in mind, always follow the money with these things).

What I am trying to ask you is I have shown exactly how this was a colossal mistake if only from the vantage point that millions more are dying of starvation because of the shutdowns. So my question to you is do you have blinders on with the rest of the world or do you just look at it from a North American standpoint and think it is all good?

No one wants to be THAT company. Even though the mere idea that there are more positive tests isn't actually a bad thing (think herd immunity). People for some reason think it is an automatic death sentence and yet it has a death rate the same and not higher than the regular flu. Like I say to people, it is never too late to re-think this.

My guess is Disney is waiting until July 11th for a specific reason. Disneyland waiting until July 17th was not an accident either, that is their 65 anniversary. But they want to see how different the rules are by then. Maybe things ease up a bit, and also Universal is a good testing ground to see the mood from guests and I would also think they do not want to be the first ones to have someone get sick in the Florida heat with the masks, which is bound to happen. My dad remembers in March of 1973 - and this is just March - a woman fainting while in line at the Country Bear Jamboree. And she didn't have a mask on.

Eventually it will be the companies who will more or less in unison start demanding that the governments let them raise their capacity to normal levels again. Honestly, CEOs smile in public and want to be in unison with the guests but behind closed doors they are biting their nails because a theme park cannot function for very long at 30% capacity.

People have been sheep throughout this whole thing, but they aren't THAT much of sheep. 2 years from now you figure masks will just be part of our everyday life? Go to the store, go to the beach, etc.

Here is my question, do you predict that nothing changes in two years or do you hope that nothing changes in two years and this is the new normal? Because you have a weird enthusiasm for masks and social engineering that I am sure the February 2020 version of yourself would slap you silly over.

If you knew anything about being a nurse during this time you'd understand.
