What is the worst job @ WDW?

I have it, hands down...hear me now and believe me later:

I worked on the AK Opening Crew on my CP and we got to talking with some of the animal handlers and one of them let us in on a little known part of the job description of the Rhino handlers. Basically, during mating season, the male Rhino's get very excited with no where to go if they are not allowed to mate, which isn't always. When those bad boys are all reved up with nowhere to go, they are dangerous on the Safari. They will basically go crazy, even ram the trucks if let be. SO...basically one of the handlers has to relieve them of there burden, so to speak.

THAT is the worst job at WDW!!!!!

Oh honey you win!!!

Yeah...I don't think there is enough money to wash the shame of that work off of you!

OMG that is by far the absolute worst! :hurl:

Yep, you win. Congratulations.

Sometimes I would say some of the fast food and beverage jobs are intense and hard work for little to no money. You have customers yell at you like it is a 5 star diamond resturaunt.

While I've always respected each and every CM, working at a food service job myself, I can say that these cast members deserve my utmost recognition. :)

Oh, and ^ + ^^ + ^^^ + ^^^^... what they all said. :dazzle:

While it is not the worst job on WDW property, one that has been overlooked in this thread is retail.
I work in a souvenir shop not unlike those at WDW (albeit much smaller), and I have learned that people are PIGS.
If your child plays with a toy that was on a SHELF, and you are not planning on purchasing the toy, please put it back on the SHELF. The floor is not where you found it.

Oh, and I just love it when customers blame the cashier (i.e. me) when our register expieriences technical difficulties. They treat the situation like it is me trying to slow down their vacation. Right, because I just LOVE making small talk with you while we try to solve the problem.

Like I said, it's not the worst job in WDW, but I know that it is not as easy as it looks.

^The second point happens with me and the debit machine all the time, though the souvenir/vacation aspect of the boardwalk would likely increase hostility amongst the visiting cognoscenti.

I second mousekeeping! I have worked at the front desk in a hotel before. I felt so bad for those housekeepers. Sometimes they would call me in to see a room before they cleaned it to note damages. It can be terrible!!!

For myself, it would be working at It's A Small World. I like the ride, it's just that music over and over again. I probably would cry myself to sleep at night after working there for just one day..

The pitty for the "Desk job" people who "Aren't in the parks" is silly.

They get to sit in nice and cushy AC and on their days off spend as much or as little time as they want in the parks. No pitty needed!

Any job that involves bodily fluids is the "worst" job in my opinion.

The puke cleaners. The toilet scrubbers. The animal poo picker-uppers. The honeymoon sheet washers. The gum scrapers.

The garbage sorters come in a close 2nd.

And I'd put the parking lot staff in 3rd. I really admired their ability to stand on blacktop in scorching heat for hours at a time on our past trip.

I've heard the worst job at WDW/DLR is doing the refurbishment for JC. To drain the water, which they rarely ever do, and the smell and crap that's in the water. To clean up all of that...THAT would be disgusting.

Bingo! As someone who had a "desk job" at WDW, there's no need to pity anyone with that job! I went into the parks whenever I wanted, didn't have to deal with any cranky guests or crazies... and the a/c is quite lovely  A lot of the desk jobbers feel pity for the onstage CMs

Due to the size of WDW I would assume they have their own wastewater treatment facility. If so, the people that work there have a very hard and dirty job. They take care of what people flush away every day. My DH works at one of these facilities in our hometown and has been covered from head to toe in raw sewage on more than one occasion. It doesn't get much worse than that. In addition they are exposed to dangerous chemicals on a daily basis.

I just can't believe that more of those wonderful people inside those character costumes don't stroke out more often. We are in t-shirts and shorts with water fans and frozen lemonade and they must be dying in there. I don't care if it is only for 20 minutes...holy shnikes!!
