What is the plan for Innoventions East and West?

Yep. In the late 80s to mid 90s they were all used. I'd post some maps but it's out of the scope of this thread.

Clockwise in the north east you had Central and Backstage Magic, Travelport, Energy Exchange and Stargate.

South east had Centorium and Future Choice Theatre

South west had Expo Robotics and Sunrise Terrace

And north west had EPCOT Outreach and Futurecom.
Thanks for the reply. The reason for my post was based off of the later 80's guide maps (http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/maps/gallery/01jul1989-epcot-center-guide-book-1989/5042.htm) that show detailed maps of each attraction space. Communicore by that time does seem to show up to four blocks without listed use.
On another topic- did anyone else ever make it up into the teacher's center? If I remember correctly it was on an upper level. I managed as a teen to get to go inside, but it was (as advertised) basically a reference center/ quiet spot.

So the basic plan is (Martin, correct me if I am wrong)
*Graveyard (LAL) removed
*Total aesthetic re-do and replacement for Innoventions, MouseGear etc.
*Something (probably Marvel- related) in UoE Spot
*WoL getting something
*Mission Space- staying the same
*Test Track- staying the same
*The Seas-Staying the same
*The Land-Staying the same
*Imagination-Staying the same (For now)
*World Showcase- Expect more IP-based Attractions.
*RoE Replacement.
Trying to remain optimistic.
Mission Space is supposed to receive an update too.

*WoL getting something - maybe, medium term
*Mission Space- staying the same - not quite
*Test Track- staying the same
*The Seas-Staying the same - maybe not quite
*The Land-Staying the same - refresh and changes
*Imagination-Staying the same (For now) - for now
*World Showcase- Expect more IP-based Attractions.
*RoE Replacement.

See my bolded additions, though I remind people a lot is still a work in progress.

Nope, that map shows the whole of both buildings in use, as they indeed were. What may appear as empty space were either circulation areas (remember the open plan design) or outside of the exterior walls. I've (badly on an iPad) drawn the outline of the buildings as they were on the attached file.

It does have one error; the teachers centre was also inside the forth rotunda (which was built especially for it in 1989) and which has since been demolished. The outreach bookstore was also in here on the upper floor.

The upper level teachers center moved for Innoventions; upstairs in the 1994 new build on the north end of Innoventions West. The space is now above Art of Disney.

Kinda random thought here. This drawing shows an addition to the north corner of the Communicore/Innoventions West building as discussed earlier. I also added new walk ways to FW East and West from the front of the park, similar to the Main St bypass concept:

That would be swell!

One could at one point in time do pretty much what you propose. There were easy walks from Seas and Energy into CC, which had wide direct paths to SSE.

Aah...the beauty of classic EPCOT, which provided pretty much all our wildest fan fantasies. In fact, delivered them as a matter of course and then took us to the stars from there.

I have never doubted Imagineering, it's the people who hold the purse strings that I am worried about.
Oh, I doubt them. Everybody is a creative god when given unlimited means. The difficulty is delivering within constraints. If your budget is not sufficient for your wild plans, then you don't build half of your idea as a lasting whiny complaint (look people what could've been!!), no, you make do with what you have and deliver something else. The first attitude gives you 7DMT, the latter Horizons - whose budget and length were cut just as drastically as Dwarf. But they made do and altered their plans, because the product was more important than their precious whiny ego.

I really hope they bring back something more like the cozy feel The Land had before instead of the shopping mall feel it has now, and do some major work to improve the circulation. I'm also super interested in what may happen with Mission: Space and the Seas. Definitely some unfulfilled potential at Space.

Shudder.

They had an a,most perfect ride before 1999.

As it stands this pavilion is way down the list with no firm plans.

I'm sure all the "Will Figment remain?" questions get bothersome and tiring. But do you think that they would ditch the character and his ardent following after saying they want to remain true to the "original vision"? He's one of the only things left, it seems.

Somebody mentioned in another thread that the financial wizards would be looking for monies to make up for the cash that went into fully developing Pandora. I am thinking that cash will come from Pandora/DAK ticket sales because it was fully developed. But then I am not a financial wizard.

No. it's coming from increased prices and more upcharges.

The budget overrun has turned into a corporate nightmare.

@marni1971 I know you've said anything happening to WoL will be many years out, but have you heard of any chance they could just do a complete refurbishment on the WoL building and simply bring a new version of body Wars (or whatever ip) into it and update the rest of the Pavilion accordingly with a modest budget? Basically polish everything, get the ride working, update the resturant area and overall interior space, leave the structure and footprint as it is for now and have it back open again as a pavilion and not a event space. This wouldn't require a huge budget, hell, everything is pretty much already there.

Body Wars does not exist anymore so it would not be a modest investment.
