What do you expect from Gaston's?

What are you expecting from Be Our Guest & Gaston's? I'm seriously excited for a new, themed dining experience at MK.

Personally I hope it's a la carte and not a Character Meal, but either way I can't wait to see the Disney detail put in; the MK has some nice eateries but none of them really scream "Disney", which I hope this one does.

I'll be first in line to try - anyone with me? :)

Gaston's is going to be a counter service location, as far as I know.

Yuck! Hope not! I'm not a buffet type :( It seems unsanitary.

I was hoping for Lumiere to come out with my meal :D

In Gaston's, I hope Gaston shows up with Lafou (spelling?) and they interact with guests.

There better be a tiki room style AA show in the Be Our Guest restaurant or I will be one unhappy camper.

It could be like Chef Mickey's a new show every 15-20 minutes or maybe something like Sunny Eclipse at Starlight Cafe. Each room can be a different song/scene from the film.

These are my guesses: Ball Room will feature Beauty and the Beast (song), the Worker's Area will feature Be Our Guest, the West Wing will feature Something There.

I'm hoping for a lot of detail and a lot to look at no matter where you are seated.

Be Our Guest Restaurant Concept Art, Beast's Castle

Both dining spots will be in the new Beauty and the Beast area of Fantasyland, and we know for certain that Be Our Guest Restaurant will be a three-room, themed, table-service restaurant in the “Beast’s Castle.”

Also new on the scene is Gaston’s Tavern, which looks like it might be a counter-service or less-expensive table service location

I think that would be a good way to go. Might be nice if the block one of the dining rooms from ADR and make it walk up only?

I'm just happy that there will a new restaurant in MK whether it's counter service or table service. I would bet that it will take nothing short of a miracle to get a ressie at the table service and forget about it when it's free dining:eek:!

i just hope they actually approach the food better than they have so far in the mk. with all the great food they have at all the parks and resorts the mk has sooooo fallen short. it's sad when they have better walk up windows than their sit down meals.

Eggs.

"When I was a lad I ate four dozen eggs
Ev'ry morning to help me get large
And now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs
So I'm roughly the size of a barge"

I thought I read somewhere that there were plans for the restaurant to be counter-service by day and sit-down by night. Not sure if it was this one or the other one in the new FL.

Think for yourselfer
Please do not let Be Our Guest be a character buffet. That would be very disappointing. I am expecting the best themed restaurant in all of Disney World, I just hope the food is at least passable. You would be there for the atmosphere, and hopefully the show, so the food is secondary.

As for Gaston's, you can expect the same basic disney counter service. Long lines, average food, customers that don't realize you can go to both sides of the register. Hopefully though the theming is excellent and it becomes a fun place to cool of and fill up. Assuming you can navigate the strollers and find a table not being saved already.

lol ok so true gaston...eggs and beer :ROFLOL:

but i guess what concerns me is what exactly could they serve to cover the part of the song that says.."try the grey stuff it's delicious"...hhhmmm you have to wonder a little.
