What did you do?

A little over 5 miles last night, at an 11:47 pace, in shorts. Daylight savings allowed me to drive home and then go for the run and still finish in the light. I have run 4 out of the last 5 days. I have a half coming up on April 5th. It should be interesting. They have a marathon on the same day and it is a loop course. I will do three loops for the half.

Fine for y'all up north, but around April, running outdoors in Florida isn't fun. And I'm not getting up before dawn to do so, unless it's race day.

Typically up north running outdoors from December-April isn't practical or fun. We don't have sidewalks in my neck of the woods, so a snowstorm immediately renders outdoor running unsafe as there isn't any easy way to get out of the way of distracted drivers. So while running outside in 90 degree temps with humidity like FL has for half the year isn't fun, I straight up can't run outside for most of the winter.

I am right there with you. It is what I blamed my poor showing at Disney on this year. When I was running in the Northeast in December, I ran a half marathon, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. The starting temperature was 8 degrees and 25 degrees by the finish. In January I toed the line for the Disney marathon. 80+ degrees with high humidity. I wasn't pretty.

2.7 outside yesterday with DS in the jogger, today was 2.05@.5@9:49 at the gym. No idea how much longer it will stay open (or be safe) to go to the gym. Will be interesting.

2.5 miles today; I took advantage of bringing my daughter to the stables so she could ride some and get outside and I set out exploring and found a fairly good mile-ish loop to do around there.
