What did you do?

2 miles running home. After the glorious spring-like weather last week, winter came back with a vengeance so it has been difficult finding a time slot to run that wasn’t during a rain/snow/sleet storm. Almost managed to find one today, but my last half mile was in the pouring rain ☔

Got back from WDW on Friday.

Still have not been able to run since January....still. I really want to kick this thing, so I am being very patient.

Getting tired of ellipticals. Did another hour yesterday.

But I came here to say, we rode ROTR Wednesday, that is all.

A 2.25 mile awesome run home from work. There are some places that I can cross streets with just pedestrian crossings (which are very well respected here) but there are 5 streets that my only choice is to wait for a green light and tonight I made all 5 lights! I don’t think I’ve ever made it home without having to wait for at least one of the lights. And I managed to keep up with my regular bus for three stops (it helped that I made a green light and the bus didn’t 😉)

Was at the world last week, but still not 100% healthy. Did a few days worth of laps around the Boardwalk pushing DS in the jogger. Relatively peaceful in the AM. (And a lot easier to run than during a race) Today was 2@.5@10

What are the crowds like?

Okay, my Garmin is possessed. After a week and a half of saying it was not connected when I tried to install updates
and download my workouts, suddenly it was fine this morning. Not only that, but it downloaded the workouts I had
thought I was using the watch just for distance & time. I ran 6.23 miles on Thursday, (3/5), 4.17 miles on Saturday (3/7)
and 5.15 miles Sunday (3/8).

Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?
Had a great running weekend this weekend! PR’d in road marathon #2 Saturday at 4:58:40 and beat my prior marathon time (6:10:18) by well over an hour! Granted, marathon #1 was part of the Dopey challenge a couple months ago, and was run during the fiery hellscape that that was January 12 in Orlando, so a PR was going to be pretty likely regardless for this one, haha! This race was on a pretty flat course, with high 40’s/low 50’s temp, so other than a little headwind most of the race, pretty ideal conditions!
- 5k split was a few seconds behind my PR 5k race
- 10k split 57:44, about 2.5 minutes ahead of my PR 10k at the Princess Weekend
- Half Split 2:16:07, a little over 9 minutes faster than my PR half at the Princess Weekend

Congratulations! You're going to be Corral A soon.

Fingers crossed! Based on the February races, I’ll still probably be slotted in the back for the 10k’s. Both runDisney (E 10k vs D half) and Universal (A 5k vs literally the very back of the last corral for 10k) apparently have no faith in my ability to run that distance😆

I think I mentioned this before. Take the results from not only this Marathon, but both the Princess 10K & Half and ask at the booth at the Expo (should be in the same building where you pick up your bibs) to be placed in corrals based on these recent races. I've seen bibs with corral letters changed on them. Doesn't hurt to ask. If walkers can get in A for the Full, runDisney should let you change.

.5@.5@10 then bike. Knee started talking for some reason (had been doing good for a while)

What are the crowds like?

At WDW in general? Towards the beginning of the trip it was pretty packed, but did seem to mellow out as the week went on. Was hard to say for certain though, wait times were all over the place. Like ToT said 60 mins, then 10 mins later was down to 25 mins. The FP line for Space Mountain filled about 2/3 of the FP queue. Yes, it kept moving, but I've never seen it go that far down.
