Friday morning coffee run w/my girls 3.11 @ 14:14/mi
Sunday long run 6.01 @ 13:31/mi - I keep hitting a wall at 5 training miles - figured it out...I need hydration/fuel after about an hour of running (5 miles)

3.12 @ 8.25 outside Sat, felt like I was running into the wind every direction I ran. Bike today.
I’ve had runs like that - it’s very annoying. Or even more annoying: a headwind that dies to nothing when I’ve turned to go back.

Switched from 3 days a week to 4 for the final month of W&D training, T-W-Th, long run Saturday. Was a full minute faster this morning. Weather people are at it again, saying a cold front is coming. I'll believe it when I feel it.

I've been slacking this week:
Monday - 2 mile walk
Wednesday - 2 mile treadmill run - I usually do :30/:30 intervals but I ran the whole 2 miles @ 13:57/mi
Today - Coffee run, turned into a walk when one of my co-runners tripped/fell -3.0 @15:34/mi

I’m super proud of myself this week. Over the last year I’ve made major changes to my life and dropped nearly 100lbs. This was done primarily with nutrition and very little physical exercise besides walking etc and being on my feet during most of the day. I was watching a YT video this week where it’s creator randomly started talking about how he developed a running routine. Right there I dropped what I was doing, threw on some shoes, and started running. 2.5 miles later I realized two things... a) I’ve never run outside of a sports related practice, and b) I simply started running and didn’t stop once. I’m totally hooked... I’ve been running 4 days this week and I’m feeling amazing. My legs were hurting those first few days but they’re much better after some basic stretching.

Congrats on the weight loss. Welcome to the dark side, we have endorphins. I will toss out the caution to take it slow. Doing too much out of the gate can cause issues that won't manifest for a little bit. Doesn't mean don't keep running, just don't push yourself to far to fast. Good luck, and any questions, complaints, etc feel free to pipe up.

Sunday I had the opportunity to run the TCM Minneapolis 10 miler. It was a beautiful morning to run some miles & a beautiful course. I kept hydrated & fueled but I hit a wall shortly after the 10k. I haven't run more than 7.25 miles before I got injured this spring and ended up with an ugly 14:31/mi pace.
You did finish, you got in a 10 mile run and went 2.75 miles more than you have since the Spring. It is all good!

I ran 5.73 miles, 11:40 pace on Saturday, then went to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. Hit the pool and hot tub. I didn't run on Sunday
or Monday. I have a half marathon coming up on the 20th in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Nothing wrong with that. You finished, and (hopefully) didn't get hurt. That's a win in my book.
