I also had my first outdoor run in weeks over the weekend due to the severe cold and snow and ice. I did 8 miles and felt strong, but my knees felt the pounding from the cement after getting used to the TM. But it was nice to get outside for a long run again, especially now that it's snowing again today and the temps have dropped again. I did another 4 miles on the TM Monday.First run outdoors in forever planned for tomorrow
) I decided I needed to be warmly dressed ... which only meant I was peeling off layers as I ran and tying them around my waist
Fun race (everyone was wearing glow sticks and the like) but a bit "scary" - I'm not used to a running lamp and had to be really careful because there were lots of areas where the asphalt in the path was uneven because of roots, not to mention all the huge puddles because of the rain.
