Seriously, take a few weeks off. You earned it.

I'm not like suicidal or anything, just sucks to be laid up with a bum knee. I also do miss my training group, but I'll see them next year, so I do have something to look forward toSeriously, take a few weeks off. You earned it.
Temps in the 40s, had to break out the long sleeves and light running gloves.
Going to visit my hometown in Texas next week. It's going to be warmer but a lot flatter. Looking forward to a level 16-miler.

Kudos to you for squeezing in these short runs whenever you can. That takes as much dedication as following a training plan.
3 miles tonight, 5 yesterday. I'm better equipped for night running this fall, I have a reflective vest and knuckle lights, but I still don't like it. I find it difficult to keep pace when I can't see my watch and even with the lights I'm often watching for obstacles in my path.
Finished my 4-7-4 with a 4-miler in south Texas this morning. Temp 81, humidity 450%. Couldn't breathe. Supposed to be cooler this weekend, highs in the 70s. Got to go buy a foam roller. Too big for my suitcase.
Where in Texas are you? As I mentioned, my sister moved to Austin this year, and my mom is there visiting her now, and they said terrible rain and possible flooding is expected this weekend as a result of the hurricane heading towards Mexico.
I recently bought my son a foam roller for cross-country. He asks me to use it on him all the time, and I've discovered that those few minutes make a perfect opportunity for me to teach him a few SAT vocab words! He's a captive audience because he likes the feel of the roller on his muscles so much. LOL
I don't think it's not being able to pace by feel. I have no problems doing it during the day and only check my watch about once per mile just to be sure I'm not fooling myself. It's more to do with the reduced visibility at night which causes me to run slower.Ehh, good practice for pacing by feel? It's definitely a different experience, doesn't click for everyone.
