According to the Polar Bears that I have talked to, they would very much like to live at the South Pole. The North Pole has lost its charm. What with the crime, over crowding and cost of living, who wouldn't? Not to mention that Santa guy and all those reindeer pooping all over the place. Way too commercial! :p

Viva le (south) Polar Bears!

There is a simple answer to this question. It is also the reason why no countries have been added.

The country(ies) they should add are: Whatever ones will pay to sponsor the pavilion.

Yes, the countries that are there had to pay to be included. The same will go for any that want to go in. So, if any want to do that, who are we to keep them out? Of course, with the exceptions of countries on the Do Not Travel list.

Here is a list of the twentiest wealthiest countries in descending order by gross domestic product per capita (in other words the 20 who can afford it the most: )

Luxembourg
United States
Bermuda
San Marino
Aruba
Switzerland
Norway
Monaco
Cayman Islands
Singapore
Denmark
Belgium
Hong Kong
Austria
Japan
Iceland
Jersey
Canada
France
Netherlands

We LOVE Epcot and would really love it even more if additional countries were added. Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Brazil, Greece, Egypt would be great. I hope that if there is space for this, it gets done!

I think USA is perfect right smack in the middle of World Showcase. Since we are the hosting country, we should be center as a central welcome.

I'm down for India, thailand, egypt, greece, polynesia, and spain to start. The possibility for attractions for these countries are vast and varied. I love world showcase in it's current form, but choice attractions are a must. It would be nice however if the countries were more immersive. Areas are so small, but I guess that's the trade off to have so many countries.

While I'm happy with the way it is now, I do know there were plans to include Spain. Some were saying it would be the same as Mexico. Other than speaking the same language, the similarities end there.
Russia would be an interesting addition, but their economy being so bad, I doubt they would be able to invest anytime soon.
Now Venezuella, that could be the most popular, especially if they sell gasoline for what they do there....... 12 cents per gallon.

I would like to see some of the countries that were represented in Millennium Village. Even though I believe the main (and best) purpose of World Showcase is to "show off" cultures from around the world, I have to say that I enjoyed some of the (very few) attractions/rides that were included.

Russia, Israel, Egypt, Brazil, Greece, and Ireland would all be interesting additions. Imagine a Greek restaurant! :slurp:

For the most part, I doubt we'd ever see traditional African countries (like Kenya and Tazania). That's what Harambe is supposed to represent. Same goes for Anandapur in its representation of all things in Asia (mainly India and Nepal). Also, I bet that we'll see Austrailia head to the Animal Kingdom long before it comes to World Showcase.

Here's a wild one, Russia! It's represented in the gift shops on the lagoon, on the opposite of the path that connects Future to World Showcase... it's up above the registers... they've got like France, UK, and then Russia... I saw it yesterday and was all, "Hmm, I never noticed that before... why is that there?"

It`s there because Russia (Soviet Union) was planned to be open in World Showcase by 1999. Things changed just a little...

WDW adding another ring of countries to EPCOT.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but adding a 2nd ring is totally infeasible. There are large unthemed buildings behind the facades. With those, access roads and a general lack of space, I don't see adding a 2nd ring happening ever.

Germany-a boat ride. Well, I'm fine with the buffet.

The show building was built and still remains there, mostly unused. Mostly storage and meetings and things from what I hear. The big wooden doors you can see in the back of the pavillion were supposed to be the entrance.
