"Welcome to Our World" - Disney's biggest ever firework show

Once again Disney proves they are the best of the best - incredible show tonight. Congratulations to everyone involved in the show. Walt Disney World's very own Brad Cicotti designed the show.

"Welcome to Our World" was presented tonight over the Seven Seas lagoon. Approx 24 launch sites along the shore of the Contemporary were used, along with the island in the center of Seven Seas Lagoon. Audio included music from Animal Kingdom and the Lion King.

The show was to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the American Pyrotechnic Association.

Disney's future firework shows are in very good hands!

That was one heck of a display tonight. It seemed that they now have mickey shapes in the pyro arsenal.(to go along with the hearts, stars and skulls) They launched several blue Mickey head shaped shells tonight. We had a great view from the Poly beach closest to the ferry launches. The smoke was just sort of hanging there tonight. But it did not effect us until after the finale was over.

Yep very cool mickey head shells - they are going to be very popular!

They also had some very cool, what I can only describe as "slow motion" shells. I'll point them out in the video once it's up. The shells are fairly low levels and seem to just hover in the air - very noisy, and very cool.

There were some shells that had this weird "wooosh" noise to them when they popped and expanded. I haven't heard that before.. were those new? It was really neat though.

DH and I were lucky enough to have ressies at California Grill tonight and got to see this display from the rooftop of the Contemporary. All I can say is....Wow!!!

It was incredible. The entire group up there was in awe and the excitement just kept building. It was the most amazing thing I have seen. We had no idea it was going to happen until the server told us there was a "special" display at 9:30. Then, someone on the balcony told us what was happening. Since we are here for our anniversary trip it was extra special.

Have to say it made Wishes later on look small....so sorry.

We did joke about the smoke cloud heading toward the Poly at the end of it :p

I heard it made traffic and the ressies/tables for the California Grill a nightmare, but it was worth it.

Thank you to everyone who had a part. You overwhelmed us all!

PS I saw someone with a very large movie camera filming down from me a bit. Is this the footage you have, Steve?

Wow...just watched the video. That was absolutely incredible! I wish that I would have decided to go over to catch this thing.

Sounds like some of those that showed up in the Epcot 25th... which I understand was also a preview of things to come.

If that is ANY indication of what is to come-we are in VERY good hands.Those effects were breathtaking.
Very revolutionary and artsy.Shame they leave a ton of smoke though...They really cloud up the Sky from any IllumiNation.
But then again,that might be good for Lasers-that's a problem ROE has.You would be really able to see them Dance in that.;)


Any word on a HD vid yet?:D
