I have bites. So. Many. Bites. Like bites on top of bites.

Benadryl spray is useless and disgusting. The Ozonol ointment I brought from home is delightful, but also useless. So now I’ve bought some hydrocortisone cream. Fingers (which are also covered in bites) crossed!

Also, Ian is shifting east a little. Waiting for the 11:00 NHC update.

I know it’s our own fault, because we always come to Florida in September, but it would be nice, if just one trip, we weren’t glued to the tv following updates on some or other hurricane.

Hate to say it, but yes, that's the chance we take. My annual girls cruise (organized on this very site) takes place in September, and has done since 2013. We picked this time of year because it's less expensive, but we realize the risk that goes along.

Thankfully, we were cruising last week instead of this week. Stay safe. I'm glad that you left the Keys, although a few hours ago it looked like the storm wouldn't have much impact there, it has certainly changed now. Better safe than sorry, always.

Always.

How was your cruise? Is there a TR? Did you do updates in PML somewhere?

Some pics from our drive yesterday.

This is from the Marathon Airport. I thought it was a very clever name, considering most appeared to be private jets.

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino. Not great pics from our vantage traveling northbound.

Apparently it’s stunning at night. 450’ of various coloured neon.

loos like the hurricane will miss the Keys
Our friends who had moved to Fiesta Key (Mile marker 70) on Friday, just texted that there is a tropical storm warning on Big Pine Key (MM 38).

She’s a lifelong FL resident, and says we made the right move.

Glad to see that the Keys won’t be taking a direct hit. Very worried about Tampa. Still pretty confident in our location here. Doesn’t look like the park is emptying at all; in fact, it’s filling up. Looks like we’re not the only ones relocating here to ride this out.

Mike just filled the 81 gallon fresh water tank - mostly for the weight (almost 700 lbs), but also handy in case we lose hydro and water post storm. We are still in pretty neutral territory, considering a hurricane is coming.

The bike has been dropped off. They can’t fix the internal gear hub, but they’ll snip the cable to prevent it from getting caught in the chain, and it will operate exactly the way it did when I bought it.

Trailer is lowered a bit, X-chock stabilizers are in, and steaks are going on the grill. There’s not much left to do but wait.

No, not a pic of the steaks. 😂

Try living in it for 26 years, on an island. 😂 You should be just fine if you're in Ft Pierce. Try Squid Lips restaurant if they are open!

20 rigs coming in today, 30 tomorrow. The park is full for the next week. Apparently a lot of RV’ers got the same idea we did.

I’m concerned about the friends we left in the Keys. We’re in contact multiple times/day, and they say they’ll be fine. 🙏🏻

Thanks, I think I saw that one. I saw another one too that was about $25 but it didn't have the little pull out area. I just ordered it and it should be here on Wednesday so hopefully we can all take a family walk now. Also, according to your screenshot you choose to order that on a very fantastic day, June 28 is my b-day!

I hope he's feeling better:(

The vet said the broken toes are aligned and healing okay, but they can still shift which would not be good. He has a lot of energy and spunk and it is tough to see him contained. Baxter thinks Baxter should run and play, especially run and play with Kapono.
