Trip Report We are GROOT!

Hello friends! Well it has finally arrived and the five of us are packed up and headed to Disney World for a mega trip. We are on the road now and stopping in Columbia, South Carolina for the night. (Max we also have 2 Toyotas)We left a little later than we wanted to because our 2 cats, sensing our departure, escaped outside.

The cast is the same as usual, my crazy Disney family, my husband, Den, my oldest son Hunter, 18, middle child Camden, 11, Brinley, 7 and me, Deighton! Hunter graduated from highschool on June 2 and is doing a year at community College to get his prerequisites out of the way. Our extended trip is his graduation present. (His choice! Who am I to say no.) Plenty of details to come! Happy Thursday everyone! Woohoo!!

Awe! Thanks so much! We really just fell into it when Cam was born. All 3 are always at different ages and stages that it was necessary to divide and conquer. For example, going to the grocery store with all 3 is h e double hockey sticks! One comes with me and my little angel appears! Thanks for following!

I interrupt our night in Disney Springs with a quick funny story. I will fill in the rest of the details later. Also in all my excitement with the potential of meeting Tuvalu and Woody I forgot to tell you all about the iron falling on my head right before we walked out the door. All for later or tomorrow.

Anywho, so again Brin's favorite store is Rainforest Cafe. She does not remember being at the RC in DS. I kind of set her up and didn't mean to scare her as bad as I did!

When we left the Vistana yesterday the GPS was running slow and he made a bad left that cost us half an hour. Normally, this is the type of thing that really could upset me but one, I am on an extended vacation and two, EVERYTHING looks the same to me! The buildings all look alike, the trees and greenery all look alike! Den has done a great job navigating and keeping us safe!

Cam was on a mission for a bucket hat... so we parked in the lime garage and off we went. Brin ended up with an Encanto art kit and a Disney tie dye. Plus everyone got a hat!

The boys stopped here. We kept going. I love the Christmas store.

Up next hats, Raglan Road and entertainment.

This is the prelude to scaring Brin.

The crew went with Den in search of hats. I grabbed a table and beers outside Raglan Road. I got a Swithwicks and I ordered Den a half and half. The bartender asked small, medium or large. Large please! Ummm the largest are 32 ounces a piece!

We requested a table near the stage. The food was great and entertainment superb. Brin had looked forward to dancing on stage the whole trip. I didn't realize they stopped bringing kids on stage since covid. She was pretty disappointed but she got over it fast. She loved the dishes and silverware. (I may have created a monster!)

My food chicken meat pie filled with mushrooms and leeks! It was very good! Everyone loved their food! Hunter said it was his favorite meal.

Cam liked the mac n cheese and the fries! Hooray! Brin loved the fries but said her chicken pot pie was too creamy!? Said no one ever!

Den had the braised be beef and brought half back here. We have some food to eat in a few days!

Last night was another fun filled game night! In 24 hours the boys are experts. They both have 21 down loaded on their phones!

Yes! However they are getting along!
We also played shut the box so Brin could play, too. Last night, I lost at everything!

The boys are sharing a room and Brin has the pullout. Every night has been a sleepover for them since we got to the Vistana. We can't hear them and they are staying up all night. Hence getting them up in the morning is tough. Tomorrow I may leave them behind but I am glad they are having fun and creating their own memories.

This trip report is So Much Fun!!! I love that you are getting this "extra vacation"! Smithwick's is my favorite since having it in Ireland many moons ago, so Raglan Road is always a stop for me too.

Thanks so much!! We are just a bunch of goof balls! We laugh, clap and participate in everything. We look around and are surrounded by zombies. No one laughing or even smiling. Why go to Disney? I don't get it!

Smithwicks is the best. If it is on the menu I am drinking it!

I was just thinking about the average number of phones that get "lost" every day, within the WDW property. Can't even imagine. But, it would make for a fun little contest, and the winner gets: a free drink!
