Trip Report We are GROOT!

Hello friends! Well it has finally arrived and the five of us are packed up and headed to Disney World for a mega trip. We are on the road now and stopping in Columbia, South Carolina for the night. (Max we also have 2 Toyotas)We left a little later than we wanted to because our 2 cats, sensing our departure, escaped outside.

The cast is the same as usual, my crazy Disney family, my husband, Den, my oldest son Hunter, 18, middle child Camden, 11, Brinley, 7 and me, Deighton! Hunter graduated from highschool on June 2 and is doing a year at community College to get his prerequisites out of the way. Our extended trip is his graduation present. (His choice! Who am I to say no.) Plenty of details to come! Happy Thursday everyone! Woohoo!!

I may have posted this before, but, Carolyn (my better half) rode ToT once. Came off in tears. Never again.
However, I’ll drink to ToT, as I love it…!!!

It is so much fun!! Den giggles like a child!

We took a walk around after lunch and everyone was stuffed so we shopped and made our way out! Hunter got a mickey mouse band tshirt and Brin got little mermaid hair bands. Awe! Thanks so much! We really just fell into it when Cam was born. All 3 are always at different ages and stages that it was necessary to divide and conquer. For example, going to the grocery store with all 3 is h e double hockey sticks! One comes with me and my little angel appears! Thanks for following!

Our 3 are very close in age, and we always used to shop as a family. It was my job to remove any offending kiddo(s) to the van.
They learned real quick…!!!

The crew went with Den in search of hats. I grabbed a table and beers outside Raglan Road. I got a Swithwicks and I ordered Den a half and half. The bartender asked small, medium or large. Large please! Ummm the largest are 32 ounces a piece!

Thanks so much!! We are just a bunch of goof balls! We laugh, clap and participate in everything. We look around and are surrounded by zombies. No one laughing or even smiling. Why go to Disney? I don't get it!

Smithwicks is the best. If it is on the menu I am drinking it!

Same with us. Granted, ya’ can’t have your face frozen in a smile all darn day long, but, there are many live streams from WDW that I watch, and so many just look downright depressed.
I’ve got plenty of my own criticisms of WDW to go around, but, when I’m actually there, that gets put on the back burner…I’m not spendin’ that kinda’ money to not have a Magical day(s)…!!!

Funny, this got me to thinkin’ (yes, I know…dangerous…!!!!! ) about my go-to drinks in different settings.
Bloody Mary at the airport or on a flight.
Long Island Iced Tea on all of our cruises.
And, beer at WDW and in daily life…!!!

Everything comes with a price! I had more oysters, too!

Years ago, my youngest bro worked at a very popular place here in Austin called Pearl’s Oyster Bar. I would order either a dozen oysters on the half shell, or the crawfish fettuccine…either way, he always made sure I got a double portion…!!!!!

Well I had to give Wine Bar George a try and it has not disappointed. Most things are served family style. Take a look at our charcuterie board! Absolutely delicious!

I have a lot of time in the car tomorrow until we reach Charlotte. I am going to finish the TR then. Plus we are going to play a game of favorite ride, favorite food, favorite restaurant, etc...

Sad that such a great, long trip is wrappin’ up for y’all, but, what unforgettable memories y’all’ve made…!!!!!!!
