More and more have been popping up. (I believe their in production right now...but only pumping out 7 per day). This is just to tweak the line though. These are the cars that will be arriving to the dealerships/car shows, etc.

I saw pics of a REALLY nice Inferno Orange Metallic SS with white rally stripes...man, what a nice looking car.

The only thing I'm torn on...is color combo. I love the rally stripes...

Orange with White
Orange with Cyber Gray
Red with Cyber Gray (like the one I posted a few days ago)
Imperial Blue with White (or silver)
Cyber Gray with Black

I also am not sure (if I go with Orange) do I get the complete Orange Interior Kit or partial.
(Complete kit takes that same orange from the exterior and brings it to the door panels and dash...and has orange faced seats) To me, it seems like it may be "orange overkill" so I may go with black seats and just the orange dash inserts.

(Here's a video showing off the orange dash (no seats)...at about 5:30 you can see the Interior Ambient Lighting (when he shuts the car off and turn it back on).

They also have red and yellow inserts (if you don't want color, the standard with cloth seats will bring the cloth (beige, gray, or black) onto the door and dash...and if you get leather, a "titanium" insert is added.

EDIT: I'd be at the dealership putting a deposit down if I could at least sit in one. I can't see shelling out close to 40K for a vehicle that I haven't even sat in...let alone driven. GM is losing money due to the constant delays of this car.

My car will be:

SS
RS package
Convenience and Connectivity package (iPod hookup, USB port, and Blu-Tooth)
Rear deck lid (not sure if I want the dovetail spoiler or the standard one...but I know I definitely don't want the "high" one)
Boston Acoustics system
Inferno Orange Interior (if I decide on orange)
Heated Leather seats.
Rally Stripes (factory installed)

I'm up in the air about the Ground Effects Package. I love it paired with the Dovetail spoiler on the Dale Earnhardt Jr. car.

Due to their "packages" I'll have to go with the 2SS/RS. I'm thinking it should be around $38K before my "GM Loyal Discount" of $3K)

What are the interior color options?

I'm an old man and not a fan of too much color. Can I get something simple like black throughout?

What's the $3000 discount? Is that something standard that you can get even ordering one? Since I've got a Cobalt, would I be eligible?

I got something in the mail from my dealership explaining the $3000 Loyal GM thing...and asked them if it would apply to the Camaro considering it's a new-launch vehicle and they told me that they would honor it. GM is honoring all discounts (military, teachers, new-grads, etc.) with this vehicle.

Interior color options:

Black cloth
Black leather
Beige cloth
Beige leather
Gray leather

Yes, if you don't want "color", the black leather or cloth would be the way to go. Simple black seats and carpeting. The door panels will have that black cloth (or dark dark gray inserts with black leather). The dash has a band of either cloth or the gray inserts that wrap around to meet the doors.

Here's a pic of the black leather interior. (The dash anyways)

Beige leather (This is a 2LT)

The Inferno Orange Interior: (This is the full-blown)...I like it with the black seats and orange inserts...but not both.

Wow! If my dealer is willing to offer that, it may make it too good to pass up. I'll have to call to see, but I expect it's a dealer choice thing. I'm sure some are charging $5000 over MSRP if they think they can get away with it.

There are PLENTY of dealerships willing to sell them at MSRP or lower (even their first allocations).

Never pay over sticker!

You're in MI right?

Freedom Chevrolet/Pontiac
Les Stanford Chevrolet Cadillac (this one had/has one in the showroom).
Classic Chevrolet
Al Serra Chevrolet
DeNooyer Chevrolet

These dealerships have said they'll sell them at MSRP or less.

New Jersey. There are at least 5 chevy dealers I can think of in a fairly close radius, so I may have to call around.

Wow, how did I screw that up...I must've been thinking of Christy

Kelle Chevrolet
Pelligrino Chevrolet

Well if you had all the locations of the thousands of members of a Disney Forum memorized, I'd begin to worry about you . . . though that "location" field in the Avatar header can come in handy.:lookaroun:lol:

. . . I went to my dealer's web-site and got a little pop-up IM and asked the woman there if they would offer the the $3000 loyalty. She said they couldn't offer that for the Camaro (though I got they feeling they would negotiate if I pushed them).

I'm not in any hurry. I can wait until they actually show up. I just thought that if I really could get $3000 off and order exactly what I want, that would be very tempting to get me to just go ahead and pull the trigger.

Maybe I'll stop by this weekend and see if they're willing to offer enough to make it tempting.

I'm teetering on the edge right now.

Word came out that all pre-orders for the Camaro must be in by March 15th. Production starts March 16th.

I have been putting money aside for it since I first saw the Pre-production model. I have completely spec'd it out and it's coming out to $38K. (I decided against the sunroof because I love the look of the reverse mohawk lines).

So, here goes.

2010 Camaro SS w/ 6-speed manual transmission.

Factory Installed Options:
RS Package (Halo lights + HID, 20" rims, darkened taillights, spoiler, SS/RS badging, 4-pack gauges under the center stack, body colored roof ditch molding, foglamps)
Inferno Orange Metallic w/ Cyber Grey Rally Stripes (2 stripes up the hood and rear decklid)
2SS Package (Black heated leather seats with red SS embroidery, Ambient Lighting Package, Boston Acoustics with 9-speakers, 6 disc indash CD player)
Convenience & Connectivity Package (iPOD hookup, USB port, Bluetooth)
Heated mirrors, dimming rearview mirror, steering wheel stereo controls, HomeLink Transmitter

Dealer Installed Options:
Dovetail Spoiler
Inferno Orange Interior Trim Kit (Dash and Doors, with Orange Ambient Lighting)

The only thing holding me back right now is the fact that I have never SAT in this car let alone test-driven it. I won't be able to do both until after the cutoff date. Signing my name to $38K for a vehicle that I am completely in the dark about (aside from pictures, seeing it at the car shows, and just basing it off the numbers supplied by GM) is a little bothersome to me.

I may just bite the bullet, put in the order...go check it out when it does hit the dealership and then cancel it if I don't like it. The problem is...if I put in the order and it starts to be built prior to me deciding I don't like it...I'm screwed.

Hehe, can you tell I've never ordered a new car before? I would rather do this so I know I'm getting exactly what I want...rather than paying the same price for one off the lot that may not have the exact features I want.

EDIT: As far as the stripes go, I may skip the vinyl ones and pay a little more to have them painted on afterwards.

Sounds great, Brian!

EDIT: BTW... I am so OCD that I could never order a car I have never driven. I drove 3 CTSs before I bought mine off the lot.:o

The only thing that is calming me down is the fact that I test drove a Pontiac G8 GT. Same platform so the ride and handling should be similar. With the coupe styling of the Camaro it actually should feel even more solid. There seems to be plenty of room since they had it on Conan and he looked to have plenty of room and he's 6'-4".

Once I hear back from the dealer and he answers some of my questions, I'll most likely go drop my deposit off. (I'm so impatient...once I pull the trigger, those 3-4 months are going to DRAG! )

 and of course... I am sure there are NO incentives on the Camero.. since a LOT of folks want them. GM b@st@rds! :fork:  :p

ummm.. advice needed. A swing arm gate dropped on my car today. There's no damage on my car, but the swing arm gate is.. well, trashed.

I opened the gate as normal, I didn't run it.
