Thats where its routinely filmed.

Mira is where they often do daft tests, like the luggage being towed, the old cars doing hill starts On the last series Clarkson made a big deal about it being secret, then told you precisely where it is.

Its all cars covered in strange panels so you cant tell the design, and touchy security if you wander near the perimeter with a camera :cool:

I saw the camaro in person today briefly at the dealer (ironically at the Nissan dealer!).

Alas it reminds me of the new mustang... in person it looks oversized and big. It's as if someone 'zoomed in' on the photos.

My father said 'what happened to the hood'. It looks too stubby.

I think its going to put a serious dent in Mustang sales - but I wonder if it will have the same appeal to girls that the mustang seems to have for some reason.

Nice retro - and I love a clean old Camaro - but in person it comes across as yet another BOAT car. It will be interesting to see the SS's performance in the flesh.. and the sound.. but looks, they don't look sexy at all. Mean.. yes.. sexy - no.

Eh... yeah its ok.

Would I personally get the CTS Wagon? Probally not. I mean... maybe if I had 2.5 kids and were married. :shrug:

For my next car... its still a toss up between the CTS Coupe, and the Chevy Volt. I'm still waiting on pricing for the CTS Coupe (I can haz paddle shifters plz? lol - not likely). :-\

Has anybody heard of the Direct Injection V8 small block that GM has? 450hp... I don't think it's IN anything yet...but I heard it gets pretty decent gas mileage in an ESCALADE!

Muscle cars/Pony Cars will ALWAYS be just that...

I don't think it will appeal to women as much as the Mustang does but I DO think that the V6 will appeal to more men. The Mustang GT (V8) has 300hp...and the Camaro LT (V6) has the same. Bump up to the SS and you're getting 422.

The base V6 is 22,245
The base V8 is 30,245 (The Base V8 is very well-equipped).

That "Black" Camaro concept at the Sema show has a bunch of add-on's from GM Performance Parts.

yup... the amber ones on the test mules were due to Australian regulation. The cars had to have amber turn signals, side markers, and giant 'LEFT HAND DRIVE' stickers to be legally driven on Aussie roads.

:lol: I meant the halos.

Seriously though...people got PARANOID when they saw the amber markers on the taillamps. Even when it was known that it was because it was an Aussie car. :lol:

I'm salivating. That black camaro has such an aggressive stance. (BTW, they also unveiled a crate engine that will get 638hp (I believe it's the ZR1 engine).
