Some people don't realize that they have to sign the name. Up until recently, I thought it was automatic. All those people who have gotten good rep. from me have no idea who gave it to them:)
I can buy that to a point.

I've never been in a situation to give rep points before until this site. If someone doesn't know what to do it always takes a period of adjustment to get it right. Wouldn't you agree? I have many rep points with no signature. I always assumed these people thought that it was automatic too. Maybe they just like giving anonymous credits? A bunch of fairy godmothers/godfathers out there doing good deeds:)

Just an aside here. I received a red mark on my reputation. Now, I have no problem with that, people don't always agree on everything. What I have the PROBLEM with is: if you cannot own the "bad" or "good" mark, don't bother.
I look upon it as a coward's way out. Agree or disagree, but, own it, please.

I agree with you, Gail. I always try to add my name, good or bad mark, so that I can let them know where it came from. Good point.

I just sign everything if I don't see my name filled in. But, I can agree that it takes a period of adjustment.

Annoymous credits are, IMHO, as bad as neg. ones. I would like to either thank the person or ask them what I did to offend them or find out more of their opinion. We can all learn from opposing opinions.

I always sign my name to the rep. points I give. That way, I get a full volley in return.

I guess since I was raised in a gambling city (San Juan), I don't really view anything wrong with it.

I mean, it was cool being 10, chilling in a comped hotel suite until about midnight with free movies cause grandma was gambling. I don't even want to imagine the comps that WDW could offer. I don't personally think that gambling at WDW will destroy families and corrupt children, especially since its the parents job to make sure that doesn't happen. If parents can get babysitters for 1 night to go to Pleasure Island, they can get them to go to a WDW casino, plain and simple.

But people tend to jump in throats when they don't want Orlando to become the next Atlantic City, which I can entirely understand. 1 Atlantic City is enough.

Dahling, I compensated for the red chips by giving you some green chips. Hope it all evens out in the end. And yes, if you become a premium member, you'll be able to not only support a wonderful site, but you'll also be able to see who leaves points. Signed or unsigned.

Well, I know one thing... Day one of the casino opening, if you are ever looking for me and I am not at work, chances are good I will be at a low-mid limit Omaha/8 table racking up the cash & comps, and I invite y'all to sit down...

Gambling, Disney-Style...
That's Happy-Happy Joy-Joy on a Stimpy scale.

when I figure out what direction my life is going in (it is in the toilet right now, that is probably why I have been cranky lately) I will probably join and become a zoom zoom goes like hell premium member. Wish me luck, it has been a bumpy road lately.
Thanks for the green. :)

I am one of the people who believe that The Boardwalk resort was created and installed with gambling in mind for the not too distant future. I have had several talks with others with "connections"(true or not) that say Disney was lobbying for the approval of gambling in Florida back in the early 90's. The public who were polled on gambling (under the pretense of the cruise line) reacted negatively and the bill was shot down anyway....but the same bill keeps coming up every year or so and when it does eventually get approved,I wouldn't be surprised to see it at the BR.

What the short-sighted idiots don't understand is that a few casinos does not automatically turn a place into Vegas or AC.......Detroit has 3 large casinos....but it has yet to become Vegas or AC.....Mount Pleasant Michigan has the 2nd largest casino in the country (next to Foxwoods) but it has not become a Vegas or AC...... :brick:

The question is though...how difficult is it going to be for Disney to get legislation passed for gambling at WDW (if they wanted to pursue the whole gambling thing)...and would the issue be brought to the voters in the area?
