 Oh my god! Scar, those prices are ridiculous!! That's exactly why I stay at Pop Century every time I visit. I spend no time awake in the room and it makes no sense paying $500 a night when you spend little or no time in the room. Besides, I save enough to make two more trips for the same price by not staying in one of the expensive hotels. That's just my opinion though. Maybe others are more willing to spend that money.

Yeah, that's why I stay at POP as well. There's no way I'm spending that kind of money on a hotel.

Don't the trash cans in each section of the park have some type of detailing on them? It seems weird to see just a plain green trash can...lol. I'll have to find the member who has the link to the trash can photos in their signature...anyone help me out with that and tell me who it is to save me the search?

That would be me, but I'll save you from searching even further - it's a Haunted Mansion trash can (yes I feel pathetic for knowing that off-hand...). And no, not all trash cans have detailing on them, you'll find a lot of places use plain color ones (dark green seems to be a popular one).

I stay at deluxe but paying full price for hotels is for suckers! :king: There's deals to be had people. Do the same for Pop Century and see what comes up. I'm sure not the $59 a night most people are paying.

Screen next to the escalator to the Monorail at the Contemporary. We were there for 5 days earlier this year, and it looked this way the entire time.

This site is depressing.

I totally understand people wanted disney to be the best, and as great as they use to be. But were does it stop? I mean some of the things on this site just on border of ridiculous. I have never heard of going on vacations just to find the flaws  thats no fun. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, I feel every time I read something on here I am starting to develop a little hate toward disney.:( I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way, but judging by how people comment on here I'm sure ill get some b.s statement like if you don't like it don't read it, or we don't hate disney we just want them to be the best. Save me the b.s... Someone else here has to agree that people on here are way to critical and nit picky

i bet everyone here would be a little ed off if Disney decided to close Splash Mountain for 3 months to inspect and clean the entire attraction so it is free of any trace of gum. Get the point?

Well, if it actually took 3 months of downtime just to remove all the gum then, yeah I'd say that's a quite a gum problem.

I think overflowing trash cans around property are more than just a "minor" problem. I used to go to Disney knowing it'd be clean, something I couldn't say about my local Six Flags. Now, not even that is true.

I totally agree! Your picture represents something that Disney used to be so known for NOT being. It's really sad.

i'll be the first to say that this thread is a horrible idea. all it does is encourage people to go out and find things wrong with WDW. every company is going to have things wrong with it from time to time, but to actually go through and document stuff by posting photos on the internet is a complete insult to every cast member who busts their off for the guests each and everyday. i would hope that everyone who reads this post asks themselves how they would feel if a group of people started snooping around their office, store or restaurant and started taking pictures of every little flaw. No matter what your opinion is regarding TDO as a whole, CM's sacrifice a lot more than you will ever know to make WDW the most magical place on earth. I have no problem with people criticizing certain attractions they don't like. but to go out and take pictures of minor problems around WDW is and always will be rude and insulting. i bet everyone here would be a little ed off if Disney decided to close Splash Mountain for 3 months to inspect and clean the entire attraction so it is free of any trace of gum. Get the point?

Completely agree. Pictures of major issues I think are ok, but when it comes to everyday stuff, you don't know the whole story.

The nerve to say that custodial at Disney is going down because of one instance is ridiculous. As a former Disney custodian, I actually do take offense to that. They do their best to never have trash cans overflow, sometimes it is uncontrollable. Inside queue lines, like HM at MK perhaps on a very busy day are going to fill up fast, plus who knows if a CM got caught up elsewhere. I'd also be willing to bet that at tops, the trash can would not have gone more than 30 minutes with it overflowing that bad, but even if a call is put in and 30 minutes passes, a can can fill up even more.

I think that when it comes to noticing things like trash, terrible crowd control, or freak accidents, you really shouldn't judge. Trash is going to be bad when you have crowds and people who frankly don't give a crap about making a mess. Crowds will form lines and traffic jams. Accidents and glitches happen from Coaster going down for a while or Mike W breaking his arm in a performance. Cast Members do work very hard to keep up with their jobs, maintenance, and show. If something needs to be fixed that is minor, you can bet money that it has been noticed, is being taken care of, or will be within sometime within that day....usually.

It one thing to say that the decent of Spaceship Earth needs to be fixed, but it is another to take pictures of things that are usually caused by guests and CMs usually work hard to prevent/cleanup/maintain/or hide. Also, if you see an issue like this, I would also hope that any guest would feel free to notify someone. Sometimes CMs don't know just like when restaurants don't know their soda syrup is running out. If a computer screen shows the blue screen of death of 5 days, I'd hope you would mention to someone.
