WDW Picture of the Day (Problems that need to be fixed)

We're not doing this to blame CM's. We're doing this because it's a FACT that WDW has cut back on a lot of custodial areas and other maintenance.

The rest of your post isn't even worth a reply.

Not a cut-back. More like filling their department with people that simply don't care to even be there.

Any good business wants to know if people think there are endemic problems. Disney should be no different. Yes, the public does notice overflowing garbage and chipped paint. This thread is fun. If you don't like it, don't look at it.

By the way, what's HM? And I agree that this should be about visible problems, not a big decision such as Wonders of Life that we disagree with. And for the record, Wonders of Life probably requires an expensive upgrade, and most medical companies are not riding high with all the uncertainties regarding Obama-care. Once the pharmacutical companies recover, I wouldn't be surprised if a new sponsor for Wonders of Life steps up and a long needed upgrade and re-opening take place. I assume this will happen in less than 5 years, maybe much sooner.

i'll be the first to say that this thread is a horrible idea. all it does is encourage people to go out and find things wrong with WDW. every company is going to have things wrong with it from time to time, but to actually go through and document stuff by posting photos on the internet is a complete insult to every cast member who busts their off for the guests each and everyday. i would hope that everyone who reads this post asks themselves how they would feel if a group of people started snooping around their office, store or restaurant and started taking pictures of every little flaw. No matter what your opinion is regarding TDO as a whole, CM's sacrifice a lot more than you will ever know to make WDW the most magical place on earth. I have no problem with people criticizing certain attractions they don't like. but to go out and take pictures of minor problems around WDW is and always will be rude and insulting. i bet everyone here would be a little ed off if Disney decided to close Splash Mountain for 3 months to inspect and clean the entire attraction so it is free of any trace of gum. Get the point?

Wouldn't bother me a bit. I'm videotaped and photographed in my profession all the time. It goes with the territory.:D

This thread is fun.

I'm not saying that pointing out WDW flaws shouldn't be done. I have no issue when we complain about issues, and I do it myself. It's a valid part of discussion. I'm just not sure what fun or joy can be taken from pointing out issues and what needs to be fixed. That's just me though. Perhaps others do enjoy pointing out others' flaws. I'd like to think that most people begrudgingly point out these flaws because they wish they didn't exist.

Its very very rare that you see anything like that at WDW. There must have been an issue somewhere that day, as that isn't normal.

I agree that the garbage overflow is something I've never seen. I also assume that something was terribly askew that day. Perhaps the centralized trash collecting system was broken and the cleaning crew was attending to that? Or maybe they had to try and collect and transport manually if the system was down?

Not every bag of garbage at MK goes into that system. They have plenty of compactors backstage as well. I'm pretty sure the photo was taken on an extremely high attendence day. Every CM, not just custodial, is responsible to make sure these things are taken care of. It only takes a phone call to request that it's cleaned up.

You got me there. I don't claim to know WDW operations very well.

Still, something had to be wrong for the can to get that way. I can see them getting close to capacity on busy days, but that was Six Flags-ish. That definitely is not the norm.

It was started as a joke talked about in another thread actually.

Thank you. And coming from a Cast Member, you realize that this thread does NOT reflect upon YOUR job.

You know... if every thread was deleted that upset SOMEBODY, then this would be a VERY boring website.

C'est la vie.

Well I have people looking over my shoulder all the time and critiquing my work. Also there are times I my self am required to take pictures of my work (when doing structured cabling) and submit them with my bill just to get paid!
