Thanks, JeffB, Sissa, and Princess Clayre!

Yes, those colors came from close to the end of the normal Wishes show. I took that photo June 30, 2007.

Here is today's not quite as spectacular shot:

What is the reason they don't let ya'll do that? When it happened to us, I was wondering if that was something that they do on a regular basis. Hook and Smee just magically appeared right before we got on our boat.

Aladdin rides his ride on a regular basis at 11 AM in the morning. Goofy, Donald, and Pluto ride Goofy's ride in the morning. Minne gives a tour of her house, Mickey gives a tour of his house in the morning. During Little One's Extra Magic Hours, characters ride their rides. But on a regular basis, no, it doesn't happen and I don't know the reason.

If I had to guess, it is because Disney seems obsessed with having a uniform guest experience. If one person gets something special, everyone will want to have one and complain if they don't.

This seems to happen a lot in entertainment and photopass. They want you to go above and beyond, but only to a point. You can't give the guest too special an experience because everyone will want that. You can't get too creative in your photos because all guests won't get that in their photos.

DLR has something called a "hit squad"- it is actually a shift that characters get scheduled for, and instead of doing sets all day, they have a list of rides that they go on. I seriously wish WDW would take that idea and do it too!

kcw, I love that idea. No motion sick entertainment cast members may apply.

Does anyone have a photo of Cinderella's horse on the carousel? She keeps talking about her horse and I can never find it.
