But it's still the back of the castle. How do you take a picture of the back of the castle from the monorail? :veryconfu

It looks like it was taken from the from the monorail as it was going to the monorail/steam train maintenance garage - which is behind the MK.

It is not the back of the castle. The gable (pointy "A") that is on the left of this photo is the part of the castle that faces Main St. The gable that is on the right side of this photo is the part of the castle that faces Tomorrowland.

A long time ago when the castle was all lit up with Christmas lights, we had a discussion about what the significance of the "A" was on the front and side of the castle. The 2 gables shown had the "A" on them.

This photo would have been taken from between the Contemporary and the bus depot.
