Can you make it with regular cake? I dont like cheesecake!

Yes, just use a yellow cake mix and pour 1/2 the batter into a prepared pan. Divide up the rest into small portions and use food dye to color. Drop onto the yellow cake mix and swirl slightly...too much swirling of colors makes mud.

I have made the Candian Cheddar Cheese Soup. The Chef at LeCellier gave me a copy of his recipe so it was easy to duplicate. It turned out magnificient.:slurp:

Oh please can I get that recipe from you? I would love to make that soup at home it's so good.

Thanks.

We made the Honey Coriander Chicken Wings from Ohana. They were outstanding!!!!!!

We also made the scalloped potatoes and they are ridiculously good also.

I guess to be honest it was not WE--it was my wife. Nobody wants me cooking believe me. My skills are more suited for the drink recipes I found on the above mentioned recipe thread. I've made the Lapu Lapu for many picnics complete with a pineapple cup. The Glow-tini's are fun to make too!!!

Anyone else get a Disney fix somtimes by making some of the delicious beverages only found at the happiest place on earth???

I have made most of Ohana's menu. I have made the scalloped potatoes and they come out perfect, the banana's fosters bread pudding which comes out amazing and everyone loves it

i have also made their key-lime honey dressing, which is amazing. i have also taken components from that recipe to make a different dressing which is out of this world
I have made the potatoes and the pudding as well. They come out great. I have to try the dressing.

What she said.

I will say this, I've had people who say they don't like cheesecake say that they like this one. I think it's the hypnotic color pattern. Also, the "crust" is a red velvet cake. That makes it a little different from the usual cheesecake.

Tonga toast... it was good, but not the same as it is at Poly
Tie dyed cheesecake... turned out very good
Ginger Carrot Soup from Boma... turned out pretty good

I know I have made others, but can't think of them right now.

I made the chocolate mousse from Boulangerie Patisserie just last week. Not an exact match (I must find out more about the chocolate they use), but yummy none the less. :slurp:

I got a little over excited about my upcoming trip, and couldn't contain myself anymore. Had to have the mousse at THAT MOMENT!!! :ROFLOL:

The recipe calls for semi sweet chocolate, I would use the best quality of chocolate you could find.

I used Ghirardelli semi-sweet since I love their chocolate, but it overwhelmed everything else, ya know? Best way I know to describe it. Don't get me wrong; we still ate it! :) It was good, but not the same.

Personally, I don't care for Ghiradelli chocolates. I used Hershy

We have perfected the honey-coriander chicken wings from 'Ohana, and the cheddar/ale soup from LeCellier. Preparing the soup is definitely a team effort, so much easier with 2 of us working on it!

Jumped off the diet yesterday and made the Creme Brulee from Victoria & Albert's. Really quite easy to make and the wife said she couldn't tell the difference. Lots of calories, but it sure was delicious.

She wants me to try the buttermilk fried chicken from the 50's Diner next weekend. Will post how that turned out.

PLEASE post in the Recipe thread as that is what it is for...requesting recipes, posting them and also posting hints and reviews. Doing this will keep everything in one place and make it easier to deal with

Thanks you
