This might be why I feel comfortable going to Disney despite being OCD. I take matters into my own hands. We always bring our own wipes for the hotel room and use sanitizer like nobody's business at the park. We always asked for the VIP clean too because of our allergies. I assume there will be complimentary extra cleaning for covid but I'd probably still do my own quick clean as well.

Here is our check in routine:
Me: okay kids, get your bathing suits. We are heading to check out the pool.
Wife: I’ll be right there after I use our wipes to wipe down every surface and inspect the sheets.
(1 hr later...wife meets us at pool)
Wife: K. We are NOW ready to check in.

She is very particular about hotel cleaning. BTW...wipes are always covered in dirt. She gets so proud to show us all the germs and dirt after hotel “cleaning”

Also, ESPN's WWoS says that they can't do ice rinks.

For now.
Which i find Interesting. Someone managed to get Ice to be a thing outdoors in Anaheim for the winter classic years ago, yet Disney hasn't seen that as a way to make money off youth hockey? Ha! oh well i am enjoying the fighting, and waiting for my glorious hockey to come back.

I had a buddy that worked at a casino in AC. He told me the cleaners very rarely touched the remote except to put it back in its place. That was years ago and since then I don’t think I’ve touched one in any room without a glove on or towel wrapped around it. He said it was the most bacteria covered thing in any room. So hopefully with the wrapped remotes in a NEW bag for each new guest will be a good thing.
Hence why the very first thing I do in any hotel room is scrub the heck out of the remote with a disinfecting wipe. This was for many years before COVID.

As of today we have some answers and a lot of questions remain unanswered. What questions do we think will be answered before July 11th and what will still be a mystery the day we walk into the first park? We are scheduled to be there when the parks open so we will not have the luxury of reading reviews to know what's up. Obviously we will know which hotels will be open and I assume we will know if we have park reservations ahead of time. Will we know which rides and entertainment will be operating? Will we know if the Skyliner will operate? Will we know what the park capacities are going to be? Will we know what any of these answers will do to wait times? Probably not. Do we expect big revelations in the next week or two, early July or never? I'm not asking for the answers to these questions or others like them, just if we think they will be answered by Disney.

Hey- there are 115 pages in this thread so it may be already covered but I do not have time to read through the whole thread. We already had our vacation booked for July 12-17. We have 2 tickets already registered for that week, we are staying in DVC at Saratoga. How do we know if we can actually get in the park? I know there will be limited capacity. Is it basically first come first serve?

Same here... Wife does the full decon of the room. We aren't allowed to even sit down until she is finished.

Disney will be releasing a new park reservation system tied to the My Disney Experience app. You will have to make a reservation to even go to a park.

Hm ok, have the app. I guess I will wait to see what they do. Fingers crossed. We still aren't even 100% we are still going. We are more worried about the airport and the flight compared to the resorts. Has anyone heard if they plan on opening the pools at the resorts?
