Umm. They can’t even get that right. The did with the Marvels 2. The movie is on track to loose $300+M.

All social media is unsafe for that demo. My kids won't touch social media until I can't tell them what to do anymore.
Sure. But some are more so and dangerous in more ways.

Folks are acting like staying on Twitter would somehow be a ”neutral” act that would avoid controversy. That’s not true. Twitter is a swirling cesspool of controversy that a lot of big name advertisers are fleeing. Staying there would be just as much a conscious act as leaving and would also anger a significant number of consumers. Disney isn’t stumbling into controversy so much as EVERYTHING is controversial in modern America.

Criticism of Twitter under Musk is not inherently approval of Twitter before Musk.
Yet nobody was withdrawing ad dollars then.

No it’s not. Twitter has never been a big draw for advertisers. Some of the companies that are pulling out such as Apple stayed on board with X because of working directly with Musk. Paris Hilton just announced a partnership with X like a month ago. Musk went through with buying Twitter over a year ago. They’re not leaving just because ownership changed but after months of declining use and chaotic operating changes.
Research has also rather consistently shown that moderation bias on the major social media sites tends to skew conservative. Old French seating arrangements are also a rather poor way of categorizing political views. Jack Dorsey currently endorses Robert F. Kennedy Jr who just announced that he is running as an independent because a lot of his support is not coming from what would traditionally be identified as the left.

You're confusing amplification bias in the algorithm with favors conservative view points. The manipulation of the algorithm to boost conservative leaning post has to deal with purely objective factors like number of followers, frequency and reach of postings, and post engagement. Moderation Bias is different, you can clearly see this with individual actions taken by not only automated processes, but also human moderators in regards to things like the pandemic and politics (famous laptop?)
A lot of the perceived Bias was also found through the usage of "independent" fact checkers as an authoritative source, which more often than it should have, were found to be incorrect or have inherent biases themselves.

Twitter made the same decision as Fox News in regards to the famous laptop. A decision they reversed the next day.
