Ok so possibly I'm a bit sleep deprived but the thought (yes another of disney ) occured to me...as (1) in the weee hours a 6 year old wakes me up to inform me she just can't sleep.....because yes I can help that and (2) the moronic dog does the loud obnoxous collar shake which means she needs to go out...at yes another early, insanely time. And it hit me, I so love it and it does not matter what time it is , as long as its not followed by a puking child, which yes has happened at Disney (which is another story, the child eats weird things) That is'nt it great when you lay there and realize" huh, ah, I'm at disneyworld....I can't go back to sleep......Tooo excited"!!!!! Ok so may this usually occures the first couple of days for myself.....And it seems I always have my handy video cam taping out on the deck at SSR, at the wee hours while i'm waiting for that coffee to brew.....Because yeah, nothing beats that feeling, Yup I'm waking up in Disney, what are we gonna do today?!!!!!!!!

And no I do not miss those dogs while I'm away!!!

13 more days woohooooo! Till I wake up in WONDERLAND!!!!!!!!

Dixiegirl, yes, yes, yes, I do the same! I am awoken through the night as well, not so much from my 4 1/2 year old but from 1 of my 3 dogs who needs to go out as well, ( she is older). But when I wake in Disney I am full of excitement and I as well am up early brewing coffee and out for a look around.

I do miss my dogs though, I need the break but worry about them,
(especially two of them are very old) it's all bittersweet.

But - yes girl - I'm right there with you!

By the way I am leaving in 2 days- Monday !!!!!!!!!

There is nothing like waking up in Disney World. The anticipation of the days events and the way the air is almost electrified is just magic to me. You can't find that feeling anywhere else in the World. It's like your senses are on overdrive. Everything smells better, looks better, sounds better and feels better than anywhere else. Disney World is the only place that I never have trouble getting my kids or my husband out of bed!!

Can't agree more! When I wake up and my favorite girl Stacy greets me every morning when I turn on the tv (Since the channel is locked on when you turn it on) and lay there waking up hearing the thumping of feet running by as anticipated kids get ready to head out to the parks. And your still figuring out what your doing and it's still about 9am and you come to a decision that you head out to DTD..I love that.

There's nothing like waking up, opening the curtain, and going out on the balconyto look around. I usually smile and say, "Smells like a Disney morning!"

Yes, yes! Waking up and anticipating the day ahead, a day full of beauty and magic...what could be better? When I stayed at POR last time, the mornings were even sweeter. Walking out and seeing charming wooden bridges, rivers everywhere, wonderful lush trees, boats gliding by, quaint rustic manors and charming decor inside and out...man!!!! What a tonic for the soul~!

Walt Disney was an amazing man. He knew what people needed. He believed that entertainment was as much a necessity for human beings as food and drink, and he sought to provide it in as uplifting and wholesome a form as possible. The essential magic of his parks, despite the changes in management and wrong-headed ideas and glitches here and there, are testament to his beliefs. That's why so many people, like me, are so passionate about the parks. We want them to live up to Walt's ideal. And when they do...the world is so much the richer for it.

Ok every single post so far I can so relate to!!! Yes I swear the air at Disney is Diffferent, definatly feels electricfing(Sp)..I swear the sky when I look up is so much bluer than at home.....Such a Different feeling , I wish and I say this to myself every time I go to Disney, that I could say to Walt, Thank you! For making such a magical, wonderful place for my family and I to just "get away" from reality the perfect escape ..... I love watching the weather channel there too and seeing at the bottom Walt Disney World, ooooh excitment.... Or the Channel that I can yes, watch Stacey at the start of my day or any time really! I do when I'm away hope my "old lady" dog is ok...she's 14 and well .....at times not to good....But nothing much I can do..I have inlaws who stay at our home and take care of our dogs when we're away so I have that piece of mind! God I am so ready to go....I think tommorow I shall say "hello" to our Luggage and take it out! Forevermickey, have a great time....Say Hello to mickey for us...We'll be there soon! During my trip that I just got back from, we stayed in a room at Disney's BoardWalk Inn that had a great view of Epcot's France pavilion.

I do that too!! I go to work around 6am, and I'll sometimes step outside to leave and say to myself "Huh, feels like I'm in Disney right now."

Yeah just about the "normal" time I let my Dogs out!

Wow, I'm really among kindred souls here! The weather right now where I live is crisp and cool - pre-Autumnish - and it's very Disney. It reminds me of the time I went to WDW in April - cool, clear, with blue skies to die for. Perfect weather. In fact, I'm thinking of changing my travel plans from October to April, so I'll maybe I'll be spared the legendary Florida humidity!

Here's what I've always noticed about waking up in Disney. On the weekends, when I'm at home, if I wake up at 8AM, I go back to sleep. When I'm at Disney, if it's 8AM (even as early as 6AM) I get up. It's like being as kid at Christmastime...and I love it.

Actually the humidity in October really isn't that bad. I have been in June, July, and August and those months are a totally different story. But when I went in October, between the lower humidity and the smaller crowds, I found my favorite time to go.

The BEST thing about waking in Disney...

Is waking up on the first full day, knowing the vacation starts now and all the parks are there waiting for me. Get the coffee on, get ready, check cameras, tickets, money, drink coffee, collect everything else (including wife) and GO!

Yayyyy!!!

When the wake-up call comes from Mickey at 0:dark thirty, and he says, "wake up pal, there's lots to do today" we're ready to go! Can't get this at home:cry: There's just nothing like waking up at Disney.

Have to add that waking up after 3 hours or 4 hours of sleep from a full day at Disney - a mix of morning and evening magic hours, 3 or 4 parks, and a night at (the closed) Adventurers Club and Mannequin's Dance Hall ... I'm ready to go for another full day of action at WDW and/or Universal/Sea World.

The bottom line, regardless of sleep, the stress level is at zero and I fully feel refreshed for another Disney / Universal / Sea World day.

Sometimes I sleep 3-4 hours at home, but that it sometimes because I have weekend military duty and I worked swings the evening before) and can function, but the stress is evident. I can function, but I'd prefer waking up across the street from the Polynesian, walk the golf path at Shades, cross the street into lush foliage to the Great Ceremonial House, grab a Kona coffee and a muffin, walk on the monorail and start my day at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot Center or hop on the bus and start my day at the other two parks.
