Voyage of the Little Mermaid is done, won't reopen with the parks.

I wonder what the space is going to be used for? Any ideas?
Rumor for a while was a black box VR interchangeable thing, but with Covid, im going to say nothing at the moment. I think they may look to re do that whole end of the park at some point, and maybe then we will see a replacement for that theater

It's back... back zombie thread back.

I actually love "Voyage" and hope it can be brought to Magic. I would love to see a show swap of this and "Monster's Inc". With "Voyage" going in Fantasyland and "Monsters" getting it's old digs". Both don't seem to fit their parks anymore, heck Monster's never did fit in futuristic Tomorrowland.

The gateway for Hollywood could easily be transformed into a university gateway as well. It is far superior than the plain entry way they have currently, with the new puke worthy "Hollywood Studios" sign.

Probably some kind of meet and greet. There are not too many there. or a Star Wars thing.
To be honest what the parks need is less formal meet and greets. Im hopeful that Covid has taught them that they cant put their eggs in that kind of basket anymore. Let the characters wander again, set up less formal meets etc. We Shall see, but its going to be a long time before they can draw any attendance from these " attractions"

I don't see the less formal greats to appear during Covid distancing at all. At an organised meet it can be on family group at a time, clearly managed with ropes and queue lines. Without this there could be a lot of pushing and everyone all over the place with a lack of distancing.

I realize the reopening of DHS is tomorrow, but do we have any confirmation one way or another whether the attraction is truly done for? With some live entertainment returning to MK and AK, it would be possible to block off seats like they did in Mickey's Philarmagic so guests could enjoy the show.

I would expect the show cannot go ahead due to the Equity union issue.

Also philharmagic is a move show, the cost of showing it is negligible, the cost of a theatrical puppet show cost is much higher, its not worth performing to very low capacity.
