I don't disagree. Had they planned Cars in DHS, in AC, then I think the hubub for Muppets would have been a bit less - but again that would have made DHS - Pixar + SW.

Keep Magic Kingdom adhering to the original lands and fairytale worlds... Villains is fine... Cars is completely wrong...

Having DHS revolve Pixar, Lucas Film and more mature Fox properties makes a lot of sense actually.

I am sorry if this has already been said, but why does Disney want to build over rivers of America and TSI instead of just building behind them. Is it guest access? Do they just want to get rid of this area and this is how they are proposing to do it? It is is money related, how is this cheaper than building above TSI? Thanks…

In addition to what has been said there are some reports that the river and access canal need a lot of structural work and park ops has been asking for something to be done so they would have to spend a lot of $ anyway just to keep it going and for things that are rather low attended

so rather than than, fill it in to better enable access to the Villains area in the back and put in attractions that will take much more capacity/interest than the riverboat and island and I think to put everything they want just in the area beyond big thunder would be tough with the suitability of the land.

So like most things, a number of factors

Incredibles is Pixar though. And anyway, DHS isn't going to exclude regular Disney feature animation. In addition to Mickey being a huge fixture with both MMRR and F! there's other stuff like the BatB show, Frozen singalone, the return of the Mermaid show, etc.

Basically, I would say that I don't see any need to force Pixar into DHS nor do I think characterizing what is appropriate for DHS by the studio that produced it makes any sense.

Easy to do… and the no dead end is partially how we ended up here.

But there isn’t any major issue with the waterways, steamboat or island. There were / are options for that.

Magnifico isn’t popular either plus his movie bombed yet there he is. I would take Frollo over him any day of the week if this is actually an indication of which villains we’ll see.

I’m glad they include King Magnifico.

Is it two separate roller coaters we're looking at in the concept art? or just the one? and if so, then is the second attraction over on the right-hand side in that building/castle?

The thorns and dragon is obviously maleficent related, but i the train whizzing past in that green bit in the bottom centre of the art reminds me so much of Hade's river of death.

It looks to be one rollercoaster. However, with Villains Land, it seems that the concept art is a rough idea and there is nothing set in stone. Josh D'Amaro was correct when saying it is in active development, but I think this land is probably the least developed of everything announced and will be built by 2030

Disney bought (or rebought, I suppose) the rights to the series and had plans for a live action adaptation like a decade ago, but nothing ever came of it.

They’d love to have their own GOT. Percy Jackson has done well for them. The new GOT series on Max I think does well - I haven’t been following their ratings. If I had to guess they’re following the reception for something like Rings of Power. All that said, while I like the books, the IP is somewhat 1) unknown, and, to the extent it’s known, 2) not fondly due to the reception to the 1985 film

Insiders have stated WDW management is not interested in taking a popular ride down for a month every year for an overlay. Hence why no overlays for the WDW Haunted Mansion.

They can’t afford to, given insufficient capacity.

That’s why they were waiting for TBA to come online before they started the BTMRR refurb. Alas, the unreliability of TBA is throwing a lurch in those plans.
