It will be a heavily themed coaster and we do not know the second attraction, outside that it will be an “E-ticket”. I would imagine it will be a next gen Dark Ride like Rise. Especially with Universal really stepping up with the new Battle at the Ministry attraction.
there are things we absolutely don't know... Heavily Themed...well we know there will be rockwork...and probably a station like 7 dwarfs... as far as the second attraction I would not expect anything even remotely like Rise. Remember this is not the gigantic land announcement...it is Carsland Road Rally and a villains area... There has been no hype about anything in the Villain area except we are assuming a coaster and something else... THis is the team that removed a dark ride to put a princess meet and greet in Fantasyland...and also added another big meet and greet location in a circus tent... If those were considered major additions for the "new Fantasyland" I would not get my hopes up too high about the "villains area" especially with zero specifics known at this point. They continue to act like EPIC UNIVERSE down the road doesn't matter....so I am not sure I would bank on them doing something completely over the top here...especially after seeing the value engineered mess they made of EPCOT.
That's the truth... There was a time you could be sure that whatever Disney did was going to be beautifully themed, and the best of what could be built in the world... Sadly after a couple decades of value engineering and promises of destruction and replacement instead of additions...Promises of new attractions that do not fit their thematic areas, and a complete irreversible change in the very fabric of the Magic Kingdom, I am not feeling so hopeful...
Aren’t a lot of the people that worked on New Fantasyland gone now? Also the chain of command (WDW president, parks and experiences head) is just different enough to make a difference.
Imagine trying to evacuate during a summer pop-up thunderstorm.
And would still require closing the boat.
To be fair TSI was there before Big Thunder. I guess no one gave it any thought to have guns removed or whatever.
Regarding the heavily themed coaster…I’ve been wondering lately if this will be reminiscent in concept to the coaster they were making for Beastly Kingdom. Maybe there will be a large Maleficent dragon similar to the dragon they had concept art for when concepts for Beastly Kingdom were being explored. They always say that ideas that are not used never truly die.
I would love it if they used that design. The roller coaster plan looked incredible, and I still haven't forgiven them for not building Beastly Kingdom. This would help.

The hang glider looking one just really made me think of the abandoned coaster from beastly kingdom. Not saying it is that, rather could see them incorporate that or a different new system for villains
