Unsure who to vote for regarding the Walt Disney Co. Board

For anyone who hasn't voted yet, there are a number of shareholder proposals to vote on that allow one to push back against current management without resorting to nominating the alternative slate of board members.

Obviously people should vote how they think is best, just wanting to point out your vote isn't as black and white as for/against current management.

There is still the option to withhold your vote in a no confidence move…

Bob is worth 390 million (2019) probably more now, 31 million compensation 2023 do you really think he cares about Disney in the long term. The guy is 72 years old set for the remainder of his life
Honestly? I think he might. As you said, he's beyond the money, I think he's all about his legacy now. He wants people talking about him long after he is dead. I think ego is much more of a driver than money for him at this point. NOW, I will say I don't think that ego is good, nor am I saying that he's listening to what the client base is saying, but I think now (especially since he's come back) it's all about legacy and power.

Does he care about Disney? Not really…just platitudes in speeches.

What he cares about is “his Disney”…and that’s very different

In essence…it’s what Roy Disney fought his final battle about. Management believing they are more important than the brand/name.

Humans tend to forget their history and make the same mistakes

Ego might be the ONLY thing known to man that causes more mistakes than greed

I've followed very slightly the whole Nelson Peltz, etc, board fight going on but am conflicted regarding who to vote for. I love Disney World, have been disappointed by what I see as a decline in innovation and the feeling of them resting on their laurels in the theme park space and confused by the direction they have taken with their entertainment properties. I'm considering voting for Peltz and Rasulo for the board but admit I have fairly limited knowledge of what they actually plan to do to improve things and how they would go about it. I'd appreciate any informed opinions members here could give me both for and against the board members up for a vote. Thanks!
If you like the performance of the current board - reelect them. But don't complain about the performance of the company in the future since you chose to keep what was in place.
If you want some change to happen, hopefully for the better, time to cast votes for some new personnel.

Still remember - just like politicians - they are in it for the money while trying to tell you that they are in it for the betterment of the people/company.

*sigh*

Don't elect people who are substantially worse then current board members and expect things to get better. Voting for "change" without considering what that change will likely look like is very, very foolish.

Why on earth would someone not consider the type of change being proposed? New personnel with worse ideas is not an improvement.
