Universals New Nighttime Show

Curious what WDW thinks of this. My guess would be the sudden rumors of WDW pushing ahead the updated Illuminations has something to do with this show.
Doubt it. Cinespec was damaged in Irma they needed a new show. Stop with the comparisons, they really don't play the "I will counter this stuff" then go tit for tat on the small scale. No one is booking vacations based on a lagoon show and that is what matters in this game.

Disney would probably disagree with this statement. Considering how much marketing they have done for ROL, SW night time show and happily ever after.

Common sense is why they only built it where they did, the old shows had too many "bad" spots to watch it since they tried to spread it out and it can't be great from every angle. This puts it in one spot, which has its own downsides, but with the new viewing area it'll probably have a way bigger impact than a big scattered show where nobody really could figure out where to go. This makes it obvious like WoC or ROL.

Even illuminations has more than several areas that aren't so great to watch it from.

I actually agree with what you said, (I like your comment), but did you even read your own comment before that?
Joe, you are one of the most "tit for tat" responders on these discussion boards.

So, what we know,

150 fountains
7 mist screens
Projection Mapped Background
Pyro
Lasers (maybe)
New score
New animations

Rumored

Drone/s
Zipline effect

Hope there is lasers and search lights. Fire effects would be cool to but I highly doubt that will happen.

Wait, the fountains are only on this one end of the lagoon? -- adjusting expectations accordingly-- . C'mon, Universal. Do a good thing again.

Numbers such as 6500 for the viewing area were thrown around. If accurate then they don't need a bigger show. I think half that but we haven't seen the setup yet.

I heard the walls around the new viewing area has been taken down. Hope this will be opening sometime this month.
