Could this not have been done on purpose? It seems like such a stupid mistake to make!

People rarely inspect the developer's page code.. it's usually just sloppiness because the web dev may know little (or care little) about what they are actually building the site for.

Thrilling? No. But I find the subject matter more interesting than anything Michael Bay could possibly come up with.
Transformers is actually a long line of action figures, cartoons and comics, and they're pretty great and have a lot of followers.

The ride doesn't follow the plot of the "okay" Michael Bay films anyways.

I hate HP and I don't love or hate FJ. If we have time for it, great, if not, oh well. Basically, it's not a priority. Just makes me wish they used this technology on something other than HP.

But if you're not interested in the story, how immersive can it be? If you don't like Harry Potter, then Forbidden Journey is probably a bore to you.
How? A great ride stands on its own merits, not the tie in.

Potter films are so-so to me. FJ is awesome.
Loved the TF films, will love the ride.

But each to their own.

Exactly! I loved the first Mummy movie, didn't like the second or third but LOVE the ride! I like Potter well enough but was BLOWN AWAY by Forbidden Journey. I don't like the Simpsons but really like the ride. Not every ride has to be of a franchise you love. Sometimes a great ride Is a great ride regardless of the theme or franchise behind it.

The strength of an intellectual property tie-in can help, but it isn't everything. Raise your hand if you've even seen Song of the South, much less love it. I haven't. Splash Mountain is still one of my favorite attractions (although maybe not in its current condition.)
