Universal Hollywood Rip Ride And Rock It. Wow!

It's been shown over and over that the playground only takes up a fraction of the space and there's plenty of room left for when the need arises to utilize that area. Those that still like to whine about the playground just show their disconnect from reality and their jealousy of toddlers. Quite ludicrous, and pitiful, huh?

The only thing ludicrous is your outrageous justifications for everything Disney does.

I guess im jealous of toddlers because they have a PLAYGROUND to climb around in the same spot where, 20 years ago, I was embarking on a submarine voyage to the lost city of atlantis as a toddler. I am jealous indeed.

Wow, you guys are really pathetic to get exicted over a steel coaster that has all the charm and theming of IOA's other big green machine. I didn't know there were so many coaster fanboys here. You'll love Six Flags.

Wait...hang on...I think I'm a little offended by that post.
It's pathetic to be excited over a cool new coaster?
Liking coasters is bad?
All coaster lovers should just go to Six Flags?

You, sir, are quite out of line there.

Justification, yes... Outrageous, not at all. In fact, it's pretty logical.

An attraction that's been closed for about 15 years sitting there empty. They cover it up and create a green space that is much more aesthetically pleasing. Given the current attendance, there's little reason for investing in a major attraction in its place. They take that area and add a nice playground for kids to enjoy in a corner of that empty plot. Now, families can spend a few minutes letting their kids run off some energy and unwind.

Rarely does a week pass by that we don't see some thread here complaining about unruly kids. That playground gives them a location to burn off energy and do what kids do best... play. And, they do so on a playground they recognize because it's straight from the books and shows they enjoy... Pooh.

Yeah, it's such a horrible thing.

I think the coaster sounds awesome (like Lee said, since when is it wrong to love coasters?) and it will fit in with CityWalk perfectly. Honestly, CityWalk already has that noisy, industrial, futuristic "boardwalk" thing going for it, and this coaster will only enhance that atmosphere.

I love WDW as much as the rest of you, but yeah... Universal is certainly stepping up their game here.

Don't want to start a thread drift here but...

Bravo, bravo!!!

You may return to your regularly scheduled thread...

Tourists love free stuff, like backpacks*
*love signing up for credit cards even more!

I genuinely love Disney. I would defend them to the death, but c'mon people... give credit where it is due. Disney's latest ride announcements have been crappy and Universal's have been great. Universal got tons of flack for sitting around and letting IOA get stagnant, but now they are coming back full force. Disney's getting cheap. Universal's credit card people are no better than Disney's "best kept secret". Give it a rest. Even Seaworld has a new coaster in the works and they just built a new water park! Disney's been getting stale! Hopefully there's a press release or something in the works for Disney.

and it better be earth-shattering. Disney held itself to a higher standard, they need to keep themselves there.

By the looks of it, this coaster will be incredible and by no means an eyesore with all of the attractive LEDs and such.

^ I agree, it hardly interacts with CityWalk at all... thats a shame, too, cause riding around CityWalk would have been awesome.

Still, it looks like a really cool coaster.
