I guess so. You yourself stated its happened before so I can't understand why you're saying it can't happen to Autopia.

Call it a gut feeling. But like I said, I'm not arguing with you about it anymore. You are correct that it could go, as any attraction can, but I don't see it happening within the next five or so years. Maybe 10. (For the record, even though I argue with you a lot, I have come to greatly respect you and consider you my friend on here. I like people who challenge me. It keeps life interesting. That, and you're bright which I appreciate;) ).

I agree with you on the subs though. It loads slowly. It's gotta be costly to maintain based on the underwater scenery (I mean, what if one effect breaks? Then they might have to drain the entire thing to fix it. I don't know this for sure, but it's a guess). I also agree because it went in WDW. Plus the manpower required for them has to be huge. That doesn't always mean anything as Storybook Canal boats, Jungle Cruise, Safaris, and others require manpower, but it could be a factor in getting rid of certain attractions. Which is why you may be right on Autopia. The biggest issue I see is that the monorail tracks are in the way for both Autopia and the subs. IMO it would be costly to get rid of. But I could be wrong

Actually I agree with pixie I think it was a joke. And about the autotopia thing, it will be taken out one day it's not revered and loved as much of the other classic attractions.

If Autopia looked too dated, they could, perhaps, use what remains of the parking lot/backstage area in Carsland to build a "Baby Cars" ride, i.e. smaller cars that you "help" them learn the roadways by driving them through an Autopia like course.

Eddie Sotto also had an idea for a moon themed Autopia, using lunar rovers that interact with the environment while you drive them. The could add augmented reality to the cars, make them seem like they are in lower gravity like the lunar rover from Apollo.

Tons of ways to re-do the ride if needed. Kids see adults drive cars all the time, doubt that they won't want to do it too anytime soon.

This guy who only reports when he has legit news says Autopia is going bye bye. He was the one who revealed what really happened during the DOSH inspection too before everyone else confirmed it.

Just heard from an inside source A utopia and Innoventions will soon have walls up for their removal. An unannounced Marvel property shall be moving in.

Apparently the deciding factor is the gas emissions. They've been getting pressure to redesign the entire fleet to cut down on the air pollution. It was the excuse Disney needed to finally burry this longtime attraction.

I don't know what I'm more excited about. The fact that autopia is finally going to get replaced with a ride everyone from kids to adults will all enjoy or that Pixeldustmarker has to eat crow

True, they do have it at Innoventions. I'm just not aware of all the licensing stuff. My dad is the lawyer in the family;)

In short (and no, I haven't read the agreement, but if you dig around it's been posted many times in the forum)...

But, in short...Disney is prohibited from using Marvel properties inside their PARKS east of the Mississippi.

Note, I emphasized Parks...which is why the Iron Man Monorail (as I understand it) is only operating on the resort loop, and not the Epcot loop...because that way it never enters a park.

Disneyland already has it, as you noted. The DCL Magic is getting a Marvel section as part of it's overhaul too.

So, no Osbourne Lights at least for 2014 and potentially no garland over Main Street because of the new parade? Wow..how sad. I understand why the changes are happening, though. Maybe it's time to switch from a Christmas season vacation to Halloween.

Let me guess, Disney Hollywood Adventure?

Maybe it's just me, but I still fail to see how this solves the Studios' identity crisis. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy the park is getting some love and that new attractions are coming, but thematically, at least from what we know at this time, this park is still going to be a jumbled mess. I just don't understand Disney's desire to transform every single park at WDW into MK-lite, which is precisely what seems to be happening here. I for one am really going to miss the studio theme, regardless of whether production still takes place at the park or not. It was fun pretending to be standing on a "hot set".

While we're on the topic of theme, what on earth does Monsters Inc have to do with CA? (and no, just because Pixar happens to be headquartered in CA does not mean it belongs in DCA). Isn't it enough of a stretch to claim Carsland represents CA car culture? I guess now we're supposed to accept that MI is a blockbuster film so it belongs in a land about movies? Gah! What a thematic nightmare...

I agree with you. That was my only critisism of DCA. The theming doesn't fit. But I don't know how in the world to make it fit. I would change the name of the park. It's losing it's CA theme. It never made sense because they are all from CA so why do they need a park based off of where they live? Same reason I wouldn't want an America theme park in DC. We have too many of those around here as it is.

But Carsland is amazing.

We teens are all far too used to spell check for our own good. ;)

Oh trust me, I understand the crutch. When I graduated high school nearly 20 years ago (good god, has it been that long) spell check was still not a great utility...good to run, but often not helpful) and I was very good at spelling.

Over the years, as I've gotten used to spell check being better and more available, my spelling has gotten atrocious. To the point where I only have a gut feeling that the word is "wrong", but often can't tell you WHAT is wrong...

The same goes for phone numbers stored in cellular phones. 20 - 25 years ago I knew probably a few hundred phone numbers by heart...now, I couldn't even tell you my Mom's cell phone number...she's just "mom" in the address book. :p

Ah ha! Now I know how old you are ;)

I know, I get the gut feeling when a word is wrong, but I can't always figure it out.

The problem is grammar a lot of times. So many people use spell check for grammar...but spell check doesn't get that!

I was a frustrated newspaper editor...my spelling may be bad but my grammar is always right. ;)
