My boyfriend was at DHS today around 7pm and he told me that he saw that the standby wait time for TSM was 380. Is this true? Could that happen?

Thanks.

Sounds like a problem with the FLIK cards... you know, those little red cards they give out to maintain the wait time display? Usually happens if a card isn't flicked right and re-circulates into the next line.

380 minutes? That would be like the entire park was in line for that one attraction. Sure he wasn't joking? If not, it was probably an error on the sign.

This is a bit unnerving... 6+ hour wait for a ride - I'm glad that it's a popular ride, but I think the capacity thing could be a huge issue.

That's the Standby Line too, so the wait time is horribly skewed by the Fastpass system. Thank God they aren't doing Fastpass for this ride at DCA!

If that is true ... guess I will fastpass it or not see it this go round.... 2 hrs is even too long for any ride IMO.

As a side note.... this ride looks very familiar to the Resses Cup Challenge at Hersheypark(in design I mean)... and I beleive they have capacity issues as well. Not to mention it just isn't all that great.

Definatly not right...

That should have been caught by ops and filtered out... if not might have messed up the fastpass return time.

I dont they have the space the hold enough guests for 6 hrs in that queue...

In situations like that, best to ask the CM at greeter position, to see what the "real" wait time is, or hang out for a few mins as another flix card will surely go through.

Heading there tomorrow. Will see if there are still long waits. Its a cool ride and all, but dang. If I never rode it again I wouldn't be dissapointed. Its not six hour wait good.....

If the 380 minute wait is true, then TSM has beaten Soarin's record of 310 minutes, a record which was set on Ney Year's Eve. Even though its a brand new ride, I highly doubt an attraction at DHs beat Soarin's crazy wait time on an early summer day. I could be wrong, but I think this must hae been some kind of malfunction. either that, orthe Fastpass distribution system for this one REALLY needs MAJOR tweaking NOW.

Wow, just wow. I really, really wish I could have gone and done this for the AP preview, or a few days later since one poster said it was a walk on then.

Ill be there in July, and I was planning on getting to mgm at opening and going and doing ToT once and then trying TSM.(I wanted to wait alittle because I wanted to stand in a line for it to be able to soak up all the detail and possibly interact with the AA) But if this is true, then Im sure gonna be running like I dont know what to get to this thing first thing in the morning and getting a fastpass probably after I get off.

Lol obviously you've never worked attractions at WDW else you'd know they already get asked this question about 10 times every minute and the reply will always be "it is what it is".

well, I guess our new studios strategy will be run to TSM, grab fastpasses, get in line and enjoy the attraction twice in the morning. I can believe long lines for a new attraction at the studios. But I have a hard time with the 380 mins.
