TSM 380 min wait?

If that is true ... guess I will fastpass it or not see it this go round.... 2 hrs is even too long for any ride IMO.

As a side note.... this ride looks very familiar to the Resses Cup Challenge at Hersheypark(in design I mean)... and I beleive they have capacity issues as well. Not to mention it just isn't all that great.

The ride systems are VERY VERY different, and Disney can push many more people through than that ride can (dual load stations, 8 people on each ride vehicle rather than 4, more efficient, etc). FP does cause a problem with capacity though, so that adds to it.

It defintely did NOT reach 380 minutes. Sure the ride did break down twice today, but it did not reach the point of 6 hours. Definitely a glich, or the system just messed up because of the broken down ride.

On other news on TSM, they pretty much closed the singles line all day so it was a bummer not being able to get through as much. They seriously need to get rid of the fastpass, and keep the singles line. It's just a huge hassle.

its a new ride and its the summer
also it can be either more or less then what the sign says. sometimes its correct, sometimes its over or under estimated.

I was there the day it opened...75 minute wait. but 380? Gotta be kidding me. Sometimes they screw up. It might be 38. or 30. I know Splash Mountain once said 120 minute wait, but it was tilted off to the side like it was trying to cut off the "0"

I was in line for Space Mountain a few weeks ago, and you know how it takes a super long time just walking to the place where you get on the actual ride? Well, my family and I almost flipped when we saw a HUGE line waiting OUTSIDE of the ride. And it kept getting bigger and bigger. The wait time said "15 minutes". It takes about 15 minutes just to WALK to the best part of the ride with NO line! hahaha. Then it changed to 65 minutes, and there was a mad dash to the fastpass line.

the space moutine one is a trick to make people wait to ride it so the line is short. i cant remember where i read that, but its true. this past trip it said it was long. we got on, and in 45 min. we were off. sometimes it just works that way.

Or get rid of FP and Singles and not have to worry about anything!

They have neither of those at the DCA version of Midway Mania. Just one regular wheelchair accesible line where everyone goes past Mr. Potato Head.

I find it odd that the two identical attractions would have such different queue setups.

WDW Midway Mania = Fastpass, Standby, and Single Rider.
DCA Midway Mania = Just A Regular Line.

Different managements. One might be pro-FP, the other against.

I will be there on the 15th, but not at park opening unfortunately. I'm already preparing myself for the fact that I probably will not ride it, even though I want to. My only hope is if there are still FP's available at 11:00-12:00. I will not wait more than 60 for any ride ever.

The saturday of Memorial Day weekend I went straight to TSM and the line was less than 10 minutes. After we got off we went back on again and only waited another 10 minutes. I guess not too many people can ride it back to back like that. When I go back in September I'm sure it'll be a lot more crowded.

It is no trick. The wait times can only update so fast and if you have a mad rush and or a technical issue with the ride a wait time can easily jump that much.

Me I would not wait for anything for more than say 45 minutes.

I always have a laugh at Soaring, people waiting 1 1/2 to sit on a swing and watch a 10 minute IMax Film. No way.....

The ride has fast passes use them.

Is the ride open for EMH at night?

Yes, it is. I was there Wednesday night for it's first night EMH. The standby line was as much as 140 minutes. As noted by other posters, this could've been a mistake. My husband and I got a fast pass and waited almost an hour to ride.

We were there again Friday morning for SWW. We ran over there first and grabbed fast passes (which were for 12 and it was only 9:30am), then went on the standby line. The wait was 40 minutes and we only waited 20-30 minutes. They weren't allowing Singles Riders until 10am but when we went back with our fast passes they didn't allow Singles at all. After one of our rides the fast passes were being issued for 7pm and they had roped our the fast pass machines.

We really liked the ride but found that the crowds were crazy and ridiculous.
I understand it's a new rideb but I can't wait until I go in October when the crowds are less and everything becomes a little more manageable on their part.

One more note, that construction wall is making it more crowded then it has to be in that area. People are going on line, coming out of the ride, getting kids in AND out of strollers and some people were just trying to get by. You could get trampled on if you weren't careful. Some people just weren't watching where they were going. It was a MADHOUSE! :brick:

Getting rid of single rider would only increase the wait, since they only get a set when there is only 1 available.

Why have emtpy seats go through AND have single rideres wait in the regular line for another emtpy seat to be next to them?????????? Doesn't make any sense
