I'm sure they had other options. I dont think this was the only option or LAST resort

I'm sure they have lots of options, including not doing anything. But things are done for a reason. You may not know the reasons, but things are done for a reason.

For example, what if ADA requirements for ramps say any ramp has to be certain width, near the front where the entrance is, and be clearly visible and not hidden. I don't know that's the case but I'm just throwing it out as an example.

I understand you don't like the way it looks. The point I was trying to make, ugly or not, there is no reason to have the ramp hidden by a wall other than you just don't want to see it.

I don't understand, so is every other ramp or anything else needed by someone in a wheelchair at the park have flashing neon lights on it? Plus im not sure what you meant earlier by have to go around the wall. They have to around the fence dont they? They dont have direct access to the ramp from the Adventureland walkway. I was referring to the fence portion of the ramp parallel to the marquee- it should have either been rock work or have a rock wall in front of it.

Possible but their recent history shows they're going with quick fixes. Aesthetics be damned.

Come on this is not some ramp with flashing neon. Its a ramp that is themed to tiki with bamboo, some plants, and fixtures on the wall.

Maybe I misunderstand when you say wall. If you're talking about something waist high like the bamboo, that is one thing. But when I hear wall I think of a wall that complete obstructs the view of what is behind it. So when I say go behind the wall I mean that the people in the wheelchair would be hidden as well.

No I meant a wall just to hide the fence/ ramp when viewed from the Adventureland walkway ( It looks really terrible butted up against the marquee like that). Not a wall obstructing the view of the ramp from from the inside of the waiting area.

I can see your point, but let's be realistic here. The bamboo fencing has always been there viewable from the walkway, as you showed the pic above. So a rock wall blocking the view from the walkway would be out of place.

So they took that same aesthetic and used it for the ramp.

As you can see from the picture I posted it was very low. Having a tall ramp there is not the same aesthetic.

A ramp butted against a marquee like that in such a tight space is ugly no matter how it’s themed

I honestly think once the rest of the walls to the left of the Tiki Room come down it'll flow a lot better.

I guess that is a matter of opinion. I think it flows and has the same aesthetic even with the taller bamboo.

Might flow a little better when the walls come down. But it was better before. Better before. A recurring theme.

Cmon. It’s an aesthetic nightmare.

I have my opinion, you have yours. I have no issues at this point with this aesthetically or otherwise. Though I wish they would just hang the sign via an archway instead of having it on the tiki poles. It would open up the entrance more and may even flow better. Similar to when they removed the entrance gate.

In NOS now. It’s pandemonium. People are confused about how to even get around because the Pirates and Mansion queues are filling up all sidewalk space.

Disney just needs to add more lava rock planters (and the foliage that comes with that) along the outside railing of the ramp, and decorate the bamboo wall more.

Tiki Room restrooms have been removed. Their existence will live on in "10 Weird Disneyland Facts" articles for years to come, however.

But haven't they been replaced with one companion restroom to replace the one in Aladdin's Oasis? That's what the permits seemed to indicate.
