I see the train in the artist rending and I'm thinking, isn't the smoke going to be an issue on that white canopy, and then I realized, looking to the left of the entrance escalators to Tron, between Tron and Space Mountain, you can see the exit of a train tunnel! New show scene in that tunnel for the WDWRR I hope.

Really? Have you ridden IJ? It is incredible and even though it uses the same tech as Dinosaur it is leaps and bounds better in every way!
"Leaps and bounds" is a bit of a stretch imo. I think they're pretty darn close, although that might be due to my nostalgia for Dinosaur (the ride).

No. not its not. IJ is leaps and bounds better. It has a thumping soundtrack vs a monotone PC voice, "snakes, why did it have to be snakes" vs "Not our dino", Mummy attack, bugs falling on you, collapsing bridge, attaching demon, blow darts, rodents, and massive boulders, vs, dinosaurs, mean dinosaurs, dinosaurs, mean dinosaurs, dinosaurs, and wait for it... mean dinosaurs. From story set up to variety of environments, transitions through show scenes, and over all experience, Indy wins hands down.

The bridge itself, and then all the scenery/imagery it creates is the crown jewel, you put that with the music and you get the legend that is IJ and Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Dinosaur, even as CTX and when all the effects were working, could never hold a candle to Indy. Great example of how story, and not the ride system, is truly the star of the show.

Idk, I think both are pretty great attractions. Indy's temple is breathtaking to ride through with the incredible sets and special effects. However, Dinosaur takes advantage of the darkness to create some truly scream-inducing thrills.

Back to Tron, I think it would be cool if LEDs lit up along the track as the train passed by. In the same vein as Haunted Mansion and Splash, if Disney clones an E-ticket, there should be enough differences to set apart the two. And yes, I'm looking at you too, Ratatouille.

Thank you! You said what I was trying to express with much better specifics and details. I completely agree!

The placement of this attraction is very weird. I get that's where there is space to put it, but getting to it will be strange and it seems odd that something that will be such a high traffic attraction will be tucked back into such and awkward spot with narrow paths.

To me, this means that the real estate of the Speedway will become even more valuable now. It may survive for now, but I highly suspect that once Tron opens, the Speedway will be on the chopping block and allow for Tron to be incorporated into a new broader area of Tomorrowland with new pathways etc.

I will chime in to also preferring Dinosaur to Indy. Both were a lot of fun but in the end I prefer Countdown to Extinction.

I am interested into what kind of story develops as you wait in the Tron queue. Abstract or not I do not want just a "Greetings Program"

I disagree Indy gets a pass because of the ip it's attached too, take away the name and that ride would be looked at in an entirely different way.
I don't know how you can prefer an idiot screaming in the dark over this:

I love Dinosaur, but if it's a 7.5/10, Indy is at least a 9.5!

*Warning* Totally unnecessary exposition will follow:p
Everything from the epic sets, the pacing, and even the hydraulics further the story (like backing up for the boulder, shifting side to side against bullets, or bumping down a hill). I mean the darn vehicle tilts upwards at an angle to reveal the show stopper scene. Not to mention, the queue is also far superior. Indy also kills the music and timing aspect: the vehicle turns and you see another one, and it adds to the experience! To me, Indy is the best ride I have ever been on. While I think there's something truly special in Forbidden Journey, Spider-Man, Flight of Passage, The Haunted Mansion, and Radiator Springs Racers, I have never been as amazed on a ride as riding Indy. Of course that's my opinion obviously, but in a way, saying Dinosaur is better than Indy would be like me saying that The Little Mermaid ride is better than The Haunted Mansion. While there is a larger gap between those two, it's still relative to what you are saying. You can like it more, but it's virtually impossible to argue that TLM is the higher quality and superior attraction, regardless of what you personally like. For me, TSMM is in my top 5, but it's certainly not anywhere near that for its quality. I don't know why you would like Dinosaur more, maybe you could explain?
You definitely can have your own opinion towards an attraction, but Indy was designed to be a significantly higher quality and more expensive attraction than Dinosaur. I'm very surprised you enjoy Dinosaur more.

Anyway........... TRON WILL ROCK!!!

Just to correct some statements here about TRON being a box office bomb, TRON cost 17 Mio and made 33 Mio. in the USA alone, not including international market. Yes Disney was disappointed but it is far from being a bomb.
