News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Splash was pre-built with political correctness included, unlike PotC. The tar baby was replaced with honey in the attraction. Although honestly honey makes better sense anyway, as it would be pretty confusing what's going on if they kept the tar.
I haven't seen the movie, but the honey is part of the Laughing Place story. I think the Tar Baby story is just left out of the ride entirely.

I like Dino better

I like the AAs and the storyline
Frankly, the "time-traveling jeep" is just not immersive enough. Now, if they had wickered the story line into a hazardous trip through someone's back yard and included Professor Wayne Zalinsky and his shrink ray, I might have found it more believable. Or at least more entertaining...

If they managed to theme both sides of the track in Dino with AAs and cool environments then it'd be better IMO but even with the new effects and projections added last year there is too much black space. The scenes it does have though IMO are better than those in Indy but there are too few of them. Indy is a much more well rounded experience from the queue to the load and just overall.

So I'm surprised no one has brought this up but I'm wondering how Disney is reacting to the news about the just announced Harry Potter attraction replacing Dragon Challenge in 2019.

Rumors have it, it will be a SFX Coaster on Hagrid's/Sirus' Motorbike through the forbbiden forest. If the rumors are true it may include several launches, forwards and backwards, freefall drops and other such maneuvers.

I can't imagine Disney is happy about another Bike coaster coming to orlando AND opening before Tron?

Dinosaur has so much potential, but it's still too dark, and scenes move by too quickly. After riding Indy, I realized just how much of a missed opportunity Dinosaur is, even with the improvements.

I'm thrilled that we're getting Tron in Orlando, especially because it's adding capacity to the park.

I doubt it's SFX. The theme doesn't really fit that ride system. I'm guessing it'll be a motobike coaster though.

Overall, meh. I'm Harry Potter'd out.

I doubt they were surprised. Most of us knew this was coming. I'm sure disney knew too.

Idk, I think both are pretty great attractions. Indy's temple is breathtaking to ride through with the incredible sets and special effects. However, Dinosaur takes advantage of the darkness to create some truly scream-inducing thrills..

AKA Dinosaur takes advantage of the darkness so Disney could cheap out on theming in that part of the ride.

I love going on Indy, I hate going on Dino (too loud and dark, not as fun)
