News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

With the last preview date being the 12th of March and the opening date not until 4th April, what are they going to in the 3 weeks in between?

More preview dates to be announced?
Soft opening? That hasn’t happened with a new ride for quite a while.

Any guesses / info?

Guess I'm waiting until 2024 to ride...

Seeing as though you don't need a park reservation with the AP Preview, what's the point of this? I guess to limit overall AP's in the park in general with the "extra" admissions.

Does anyone know what angle your leg/knee needs to be able to bend to in order to fit into the restraint?

It depends on how much damage to the queue and ride those nasty, filthy AP holders do. We all know they are a bunch of troublemakers.

I remember back in the day, we’d walk around the parks, shove those puny day guests out of our way, and ride whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. We basically ran the place. If we wanted food? We took it. If we wanted some little kid’s balloon? We took it. And we’d just wave our AP at whatever pi*sant manager would try to stop us and say, “Don’t you know who we are?!?! WE OWN YOU!”.

Maybe I’m getting that confused with a gangster movie, though…

When they did the test track overlay, my moron young mind thought that was a Tron re-theme lol I legitimately thought it was a mashup of Chevy and Tron for years.

I had the same initial reaction and I was well past the young mind age. Maybe I could blame it on old age mind?

I watched a review by Coaster Studios last night. His comments were the area is amazing and theming is done well. The only issue he has is the amount of brake runs there are. The ride would be so much better if they let keeps its speed through the whole ride. He does think it's done for a reason and that is it would be too much for your average Disney guest.

Popcorn buckets that look like master control from the og tron movie would be awesome imo. Especially if they lit up.

The brake runs are for capacity, they’re not necessarily there to make the ride less intense.
