Even though Tron might not be what MK needs, it's a plus for capacity in a park that's short on it. Oh and it isn't replacing anything. Then again, it might make the capacity issues worse. I just hope this leads to them SM closing for 2 years while they gut and rebuild. We need a good omnimover to make a dent in the crowds.

I'm really looking forward to the TRON coaster. Since it was concept art was revealed for SDL and finally after it opened and seeing videos on YT - it's one of those Disney attractions that I am just dying to experience. I was a huge fan of the original movie in '82 as a little kid so the TRONiverse has a lot of nostalgia for me.

Seeing how fast they got on top of replacing Tower of Terror in DCA and The Great Movie Ride in DHS, I'm surprised it's this far past announcement and no there's no real progress to be seen.

This is rumored to opening by summer '21, correct? Just in time for the 50th to kick-off? If so, I wouldn't expect to see much activity in terms of land clearing/construction until later this year or early next year.

I don't remember specifics, but there wasn't any real land clearing or construction for Everest until Jun or Jul '03, 30 months before it was open for previews/testing. So assuming a TRON date would be July '21 - I really don't expect to see trees or land being cleared or any cranes or construction activity in the area until maybe Nov or Dec of this year. That's assuming TRON's development takes as long as Everest's did. It may be quicker since it has already been built in Shanghai and the building itself is not as complicated as the Everest mountain was. Plus, no disco Yeti to install.
