Does anyone know if the construction of the TRON coaster on the expansion pad will also include a new CS restaurant, a substantial gift shop (not only some small corner at the exit) and/or an arcade like Flynns from the first movie?
Sorry if that question was already asked but I don't want to look through the entire thread.

If they duplicate Shanghai there's no Flynn's Arcade. But, they already have the arcade capability in WDW wth the actual arcade building, so it's a shame if they don't capitalize (so they won't). I already posted, but to turn the current arcade building into Flynn's and then have you go down and under the railroad tracks (to get to the other side for the ride) as though you're going to Flynn's office would be epic.

As of now, in addition to TRON and Speedway, this project includes a minor overhaul of Tommorowland Power and Light (SM Gift Shop), an exit shop, but no arcade IIRC. The exit shop will be an actual shop (not a cart or corner), but probably about the size of Buzz's Shop or Merchant of Venus.

I just wish they would get to work on Space Mountain the second Tron opens. It,s nearly two decades overdue.

Interestingly the Tron reboot opened in an arcade iirc. Makes you wonder how long it has been thought about for Tomorrowland. Still good they are planning to remove the arcade for a shop or queue.

As always, thanks for the contributions you make here.

Agree. The opening of Tron is the perfect time to close SM for refurb.

Does anyone know what the theoretical hourly capacity is like for Tron compared to that of Space Mountain?

But people want them to wait so they can complain SM is closed for the 50th.

Then there is always the possibility SM will be the Tron ride building.

It's actually a good question. My thought was with another roller coaster type ride open, then Tron could close. Maybe a compromise would be when Splash Mountain reopens take SM down then for refurb.

Not true. Plans have already been revealed that it will be adjacent to SM.

:banghead: Are you kidding me? Just stop. This was never a possibility and we all know it.

There was always a possibility and I would bet it was discussed seriously.

That's not what you said. You said, "Then there is always the possibility SM will be the Tron ride building."

It ceased being "possible" when the plans for the ride were released. You didn't say "was possible" while it was being considered. Maybe you "misspoke" when you said "the possibility SM WILL BE the Tron ride". I don't know but you left the wrong impression of what was already settled.

I never thought of it from that perspective.

    Funnily enough, it wasn't.

You'd be surprised what was though.

When should we expect work to start on this and any info on when the Speedway will go down for changes?
