News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

While not necessarily ugly, I can’t honestly think of how to make an exposed track coaster fit the look of Tomorrowland as it currently stands. Maybe semi exposed like the People Mover?

You can hide alot behind a facade or rockwork ect things like that. Can use lighting to give it a more vibrant appearance. Also using earthworks to hide bits (trenches) especially with a launched coaster with no lift hill needed. only the tallest of inversions or drops need to be visible.

Ummm.😕

1. Entirely subjective. While the project has exceeded my expectations a lot was lost aesthetically. Just not the same magic as before when the land is viewed from across the lake. But they reimagined the land effectively and credit where credit is due. I would agree if Tron had a coaster track section towering over the project. Therefore Tron looks much better.

And 2. Everyone is assuming the view from FL is the final product. Considering the pains they went through to hide an almost imperceptible corner of the mermaid show building, such assumptions seem unwarrented. IMO.
Fair enough. I guess I just have a hard time seeing how they’ll manage to cover up a show building that large and exposed. And frankly how they’ve handled the guardians show building doesn’t give me much confidence.

Trying to help destroy the English language 🤣🤣 honestly im on my phone and dont put too much emphasis on it. It amazes me when people say they can't easily read this or that. (Like how so many people freak over the versions of there) the sentence structure itself will tell you what they mean. The human brain can read entire paragraphs that are spelled wrong. Grammar was never my strong point dont worry no degrees here 🤣🤣

Not really in any kind of rage ? Just don't see too much merit in your arguments. Its a lazy copy paste job in a park that to be frank needs the least attention attraction wise based on an IP nobody cares about.

But sorry for misconstruing my words into some kind of "rage"
Good day to you kind sir or madame.
Fair enough, you asked

"Does anyone think tron "the ride" is the best use of this precious space. Does anyone think tron is anything special or remotely clever as a roller coaster? Disney aside. I mean universal just soft opened what could be one of the best roller coasters on earth....your move disney...oh tthats a pretty canopy."

And I addressed all your points. The answer of course is 'Yes' some people will think "Yes" as it's all subjective. To be honest though I don't think you really wanted a debate but were merely saying you don't like it.

I take it that it's not the first time your Grammar has been picked up on? :D

And a very good day to you too

Completely disagree, and you used an image of Tron - from what will be it's worst angle while still under construction to illustrate your point.
Tron is going to be the most beautiful thing in Tommorowland, which is greatly in need of something to bring it up to speed.
I don’t disagree that Tron will be beautiful or that Tomorrowland greatly needs something like it because it does. But that show building is massive and it’ll take a lot more than a berm and some trees to cover it up. Admittedly I should withhold my full judgement until it’s complete. But after how Disney handled the Guardians show building and even the Ratatouille one, forgive me if I’m skeptical.

"Beautiful" Nah! But agree with the rest.

Not fair enough. It’s his usual baseless bullocks. The site plan for the project has been published. We know what they’re doing.

I’m totally with you in that I think that from within Tomorrowland that Tron is going to be fantastic. The beauty of the canopy and the kinetics of the ride will add to the land quite a bit and the show building with be less obvious unless you are making an effort (your eyes will be drawn to the canopy not behind it).

I also think that they should be able to add enough trees to make the show building less noticeable from the circus and pathway. It will certainly be there and able to be seen but having trees in between will make it look more distant as it’s the top half of the building above the trees. Especially since your attention will be drawn to the right side toward the canopy/lights/motion

Maybe I’m naive but it doesn’t look like you’d need all that many trees in the left side of that picture to block off most of the building.

Again, where would the trees be placed?

Not at all i have actually be comended once people hear me in person because my speaking and vocabulary is above par but with writing its pretty tragic. I can read rather well too but again grammar just never stuck when i was younger. I was the child that read every text book front to back but still had the worst hand writing in class.

My point was not to say tron (the ride) sucks just that i feel its a poor use of the space. I have never been to Shanghai and it is a beautiful tommorow land however the coaster seemed (in pov form) very short to me. Im not here to trash disney however i do disagree with alot of there (what version should i use?) 🤣😉 recent decisions. However i voice my opinion because i legitimately care. The same passion that i will bash Busch gardens for not opening iron gwazi etc.

the ride isnt finished, we dont know if they are planting trees to cover the sight lines. How about people chill out until things are closer to being done?
Though it might be better than nothing, planting super tall trees to block the building from the monorail view (or views from around the resorts and lagoon) would essentially create the same problem of diminishing scale. Similar situation for the coaster at Epcot from across the lake. It would be nice if they blocked a few views like the one from Storybook Circus, but they can’t do much about 90% of the other views.

Martin has already posted past plans that show the pond filled in. Like they have done elsewhere. They shift wetlands, ponds and waterways all the time.

Not that I think trees will be the eventual solution. But it could very well be a stop gap. See the Galaxy's Edge berm for the latest of Imagineering's answers to such problems.
