Autopia is sacred because it is a Walt original attraction that opened in 1955 at DL (I believe)
I'd be surprised if Tron has enough fans to warrant a Park attraction. It isn't exactly a classic, is it? Cult-classic status doesn't count.
But Walt was constantly changing things in DL so nothing should be considered to sacred to stay forever.
Yeah and we all know how much better Disney does things when they replace them (Peoplemover vs. Rocket Rods, the original Journey into Imagination vs. the new one, etc.)

Nah. I thought they were just in DLs version.
Communicore Wests Tron Arcade came a whisker from being built.
How's Mr. Toad in WDW working out there for you?Mr.Toad's Wild Ride and Splash Mountain say hi
My mind asploded. There actually is a coaster design that emulates a motorcycle. There are videos on youtube of it that can be found. I am sure that this could be used to create a dueling tron lightcycle ride.
As for the space to put said attraction in I can see why and why not to take out Autotopia, and all in all if they put the land to good use that would create a better experience that would be better for most everyone, just take the thing out. Or if they wanted to I could see this possibly being used as an attraction in Hollywood studios as part of an exhibit on special effects with computers, you go into this room to see a demonstration with this "special effects computer" and ZAP!!!! MCP or whoever the baddie is has brought you into the computer realm to duel on lightcycles.
Boom, mindbomb.
What about a large-scale Tron attraction that takes up SGE and MILF's show buildings? It would be the indoor motocoaster with cars themed to the lightcycles, and the highlight of the attraction could be exiting MILF's show building into SGE's through an outdoor tunnel.
How would you get into TL then? I could see that if it took up the Galaxy theater and SRS or SRS and MILF.
The tunnel would be 20 or so feet above ground.
That`s called a bridge where I come fromThe tunnel would be 20 or so feet above ground.

There are alot of non-Disney fans who love Tron. This new film seems to be getting alot of hoopla from the internet.
How did that internet hoopla work out for "Snakes on a Plane?"
I am a skeptic, but will be happy to be proven wrong if the film is a success.
